New flatmate What a gorgeous kitten! and so photogenic, too. I do volunteer work Sunday mornings at the local SPCA so I can get to cuddle lots of furry felines and darling doggies of all ages. I still miss Brandy and Tai so this is the next best thing for now. Enjoy your new buddy. Love, Linda
Watermelon fun at Halloween Hi Emily and Shaun - your watermelons look great! When in Rome ... hope this finds you both fit and well. Not too long and you'll be winging across the Pacific, home for a Christmas break. Remember to come back! Love, Linda xx
Halloween watermelons Lovw youe idea using watermelons for decor. Can't eat raw pumpkins ! Berrymans visited us in Oct. The day was much too short. hOP3E ALL GOES WELL
Mousin T. Cheddarworth Story Emily,
Once your story is all in order, I would very much like to see it before it is published. You should post it online with the illustrations or send me a copy. I'll e-mail you my address for just this purpose.
cat Hi Emily, Moostopher is quite the cat. Today is Dad's birthday (the 25th). Yesterday my father was 92! We all got together for dinner in Monroe. Write soon and update us on your work/career plans. Love, Mom
Ducks At Last! I had given up too but now we will be able to watch the determined duck. (Child's book possibility?) Let us know when it will be on and we'll attempt to video the show. Or better, we'll ask Maribeth to videotape it. Love, Mom
Its been a long time Hey Emily!
I finally read your last two travel blogs today. Things have been hectic and directionless for me the last couple years. I've lost count of how many years it has been since we last saw each other. I think I saw Beth four years ago. At any rate it was good to hear what is going on in your life. Your travel blog made me smile and made me happy that there are people like you in the world. Send me an e-mail sometime so I have your email address and I'll update you on eric and my life.
best wishes.
Thumbs n things Hi Emily, pity about the thumb - hope it's not too long before it matches your other digits again. Your cooking sure has its ups and downs but you're learning. Besides - how many people have even tried to make cornbread? Keep those culinary skills going! Not much to report, but you would have laughed at Tai trying in vain to catch the moving planes on my screen saver and then checking around the back of the monitor to see where they'd disappeared to. He's one confused little kitten (but growing fast!). Enjoy hearing about your experiences... Luv, Linda
Enjoying the blogs! Emeroo-loved the blogs-as it has brought back many memories of NZ.
Nama alerts me each time we get one-she too has enjoyed keeping up with you through them. I owe you a snail mail letter!!
take care-we are all rooting for you!
Cute cat! Just hoping that one day Tai will be at least as helpful as Smudge in keeping my place clean and tidy!
Fingers still crossed for THAT job!
Love, Linda
fun times galore! Enjoying your travels - great to read of your thoughts and feelings on places familiar and new. Loved the cat photo - Tai is still the number one entertainment around here. Fingers n toes crossed for a successful outcome with your job application. Love, Linda
Best of luck! Hi Emily! Just what you've been waiting for - the opportunity to work for Peter Jackson! Give it your best and all the very very best of luck - really sell yourself!
I await your next email with baited breath - they make a fantastic read.
Buono fortuno, Love, Linda xx
omission You left out the part where I popped a squat on the rain-soaked hill on the way to Taupo. A memory I will cherish forever. Thank you for writing all this down! I love it! I have been laughing/ mostalgically crying remembering all the details of our trip. It was sooooo fun, and I don't want to forget any of it! (Except perhaps the van picture...)
hilarious Emily, you are missing your calling: You should write comedy! We all love your blog. Libby read it at the office and laughed until she cried.
Love, Mom
emily! its so great to hear about your adventures. i am truly jealous as i sit here at work pining away at being outside and not color correcting any more photographs! alas. i will say no more.
great travelblog !!!!!!! Emmie I loved your writing and laughed so hard that tears were streaming down my face, and totally blurring my vision. Will write more later. Love, Mom
Go Girls! Hi Emily, just had a lot of laughs to start my day. Your journal makes for great reading - you decribe things in such an entertaining way. It was really nice catching up with you during your family holiday in Rotorua. Pity that I missed you and Beth on your second trip. Have you got back on a bike since? You should write a book about your experiences - just collect all your TravelBlogs together.
Hope all's going well for you down in Wellington. Keep in touch, Love, Linda
a white tail!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Emmie, got your latest blog. It's funny to read about the spiders, but not when I know how poisonous they are. Can you get spray to kill them?
Ciao from Ecuador Glad to hear everything is going well. The spider is making sure you won't kill it, in return it will eat all the mosquitos and other nasties in your room that can hurt you. Trust me, I'm a biologist.
