Re Gibb River Road trip
We have recently been on the Gibb and to Mitchell Plateau and out to the coast and the Kimberley Coastal Camp , back to Kununurra and Darwin and home to Tasmania. We went primarily to see rock art , the Bradshaw rock art and Wandjina art. You prabably know the B art is possibly 50000 yrs old and the W art 5000 years old. A good web sit is the http://www.kimberleyfoundation.org.au/gwion-gwion-bradshaw/ Your journey will be more educational than any class room.Your photos are excellent. We ernjoyed the Ellenbrae scones too!!! Perhaps by now you will have ended up in Broome, maybe via Mt Hart and Windjana Gorge etc all worth a look. Hope all goes as planned.

Thanks for your comment!
Hi Melanie, we've just had a chance to go back online and check comments on our blog. Thanks for yours. I will go on the Kimberly website for more information on the rock art. My daughter has a history project to do when she goes back to school in September and this seems like a really interesting theme for her as she has seen some of the artwork in real life! We are now at Exmouth, heading for 4 days camping at Cape Range NP. Really looking forward to the snorkelling and fishing! Cheers, Hazel

I thought Mark was quite good with a tackle box??? Stunning pictures. That water looks magical. Hard to imagine swimming and warmth at the moment. Too cold down south!

Hi guys, Sounds like you are all travelling well and getting right into the spirit of camping- just got on and read through your first couple of entries. Happy Birthday Luke- what a great way to turn 10!! Enjoy- isn't it all just so amazing?? We might not have 500 year old cathedrals but Mother Nature sure has gifted us with some of her own stunning work. I look forward to reading more of your adventures. Cheers, Megan, Clarke and the family
