Coming to you live from SYDNEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday we should have known when Thel received a phoncall from qantas asking if we could come in for the 10.15am flight. Got to Sydney and everything going to plan until we heard the loudspeakers "all passengers in ecocomy seats on the QF73 please go to the transfer lounge" A tall limp manager gently informed us that because qantas had an engine burn in san fran the day before - they needed to ship a new one to them on our plane!! They needed to reduce the weight of the plane (thel and lou tried to explain their latest diet but to no avail) .... so tall limp man went on ......... Well the countdown is well and truly on. This time next week we will be out over the Pacific getting ready to go to sleep. So have we packed.....no, are we organised.........partly (but Lou does have an international drivers licence), so we leave here 1st September and arrive in Vancouver 1st September, we have 3 nights there and head off to Victoria by seaplane for 2 nights then we head to Montrealby plane for 4 nights, then by train to Quebec for 4 nights, then we are off on a road trip from Quebec to Ottawa where we will stay a couple of nights then fly to New York. I know that heaps of people are waiting for us to get on a plane so that we will start the blog again. Hopefully it will live up to the expectations of the old blog. We haven't done the practise packing and unpacking of the suitcases like last time, maybe it is that we fell as though we are seasoned travellers now. Or maybe we are too keen just to GO!!!!. Hello world - this is Lou ............. Have just received an email about our accom in New York - bloody fantastic and now i really am excited.
