hello note .... number 1 ???
Hi Girls ... Just wondering how on earth you are going to adjust to the old G when you get back again, after the life you have been living? Thanks for email, yep so happy to get it, and doing even better now! Well news from home, going to be 30 degrees today, wonderful weather at the moment. St George and Roosters will play the grand final on Saturday and the AFL is going to be replayed after a draw last weekend ... great game too! Commonwealth Games due to start soon, and great big hoo haa over it, seems that their "emerging country standards" are not anywhere equivalent to what was expected and was lots of talk from lots of countries about withdrawing from games due to hygiene and safety concerns. So when you get back you'll be up to speed about what has happened while you've been away. Sean and his soccer team played the winner from the Coffs comp last weekend ... was a great game with Mr Sean scoring twice for his team, which ended up in a draw and lead to extra time, where they eventually lost. Sean's mum (she of little faith) thought they would get an absolute flogging, so she was silenced by their efforts. I'm off for an i/v this week with noretec ... (not yet she cries ... too soon) ... hmm lets see what happens. Sean here for the day while Sal at work ... in what she thinks are comfortable shoes, but has a back up pair, just in case. Nothing much else to report on. "The stick" has now gone into retirement, and I'm back on two legs now! ..... Love to you both ... and enjoy your last few days over there (as if you won't) ....... xx

I want to travel with you two!!!
Well, I'm seriously considering leaving my family at home at Christmas and taking you two with me instead. I'm serious. We haven't stopped laughing while eating breakkie this morning. Ottawa sounds stunning and I think we may need to put that on our itinerary. See Mandy, it's not always a good thing to book your flights too early as there are advantages in being slack! We will see it in winter which will be spectacular. Zoe can't wait to see the episode of 'CSI New York' with the two mad extras. We have been busy planting, pruning, painting etc in anticipation of The Jacksons visit next week. Needless to say there have been several marital disputes with Bruce in the dog house for 3 days. He had to do his own ironing and cook his own meals for those days. I was cranky! And justifiably so I might add! There is some very exciting news in Grafton...Celeste and Brea are opening their own shop, next to the Saraton, called 'French Jellies'. It will be a florist and homewares shop opening in November. Celeste told me yesterday and said it was okay to let you know via the blog as most of Grafton got wind of "something" happening there! Good on them! Sewing has been busy, Sal doesn't mess around in her classes and I'm enjoying her company as much as the sewing. I'm her official 'Consumer Research and Development Officer' and she even made me my own business card! She's so funny. Well, I'm ready for you to come home now. Walking in the mornings is such a drag. I've been keeping Mr. Dewberry up to date with your news, which he appreciates. Did you buy anything in Purl SoHo? look forward to your next blog. Love to you both, Deb xx

hello from the G
good morning girls .... your stories have been fabulous ... loving every moment of them, such a shame you can't send back the noises and smells to go with your words, then it would be complete .... Friday morning here ... the G is same same, and no different. Ghosties won last week the grand final, no idea of the score, just saw the news in the paper. Titans play the Roosters tonight in the final for the footy and collingwood play ummm someone else in the GF of aussie rules. That's the update on sport, for what it's worth. Spring is coming getting some nice days again now. Think I'll be off me trustie walking stick by the end of next week, and can nearly walk straight again, and for me, I have not felt sooooo good mentally or physically for about 3 years, so I'm really enjoying this new found well being. Sally is good too, absolutely loves the shop and the classes, getting more classes and more plans towards Christmas. She is learning to wear sensible and comfortable shoes to work, to help the hours spent on her feet. We heading to Yamba the week after next (school holidays start after today) for three days ...... looking forward to that too. We've got our visas back in our passports now too ... and only about 8 weeks before we head off-shore again. Yippee can't wait .... bit sad though, cause YOUR time has absolutely flown, so our time will go in a blink. Princess Sandra and I went to Coffs Harbour the other day. She is soo clever in trying to get you to spend YOUR money, but I've wized up now, and spend 1/2 my time saying "Sandra ... you don't NEED or WANT that!!!!!" ... but good day out, and bloody well slept like a log that night. So that's about it for now ..... take care ... take yellow cabs .... and enjoy every moment over there in NYC .... much love .. (and envy .. hehehe) ...... BM

Hi you two, sounds like a great trip to date , but Thel how could you have missed out on knowing about a Food Festival - what where you thinking?? Hi girls ... excellent reading so far ..... and so so pleased to hear that you are NOT starving ... hehehehe ..... Can't believe that the beggars actually nominate what they are going to spend YOUR money on .... so funny .... news from back home ... well the bunnies are OUT of the competition (that's the footy) ... the Swans are still in ... Victoria ... thats the aussie one, is still in flood ... there was a great rain depression that came across over the weekend, and lots of towns evacuated today cause they going under tonight .... and the storm ... well it's now headed to New Zealand, where Queenstown is already a big big mess ... that earthquake has nearly flattened the city over there and now they are bracing for the rain ... poor people, Princess Sandra was here this arvo, and she was so grateful that they got home before al this hit .... they were staying right in the areas that are now rubble. Still no government ... maybe tomorrow, but that Bob Kater bloke is a goose .... Paul Hogan got home, the Tax office let him out of Australia, X-Factor is a bit of a hit on TV, I'm still learning to walk again, and still look like I'm down slow-mo Zumba without the walking stick! And ... that's about it for a while ....... from the boring old G ....... enjoy the next few days, and sooooo look forward to the next instalment .... Take care ... much love ...... BM xxxx

5th September 2010

green with envy
hi Thel and Lou, Thank you both for starting our day with so many laughs! you are both reminding us of a skitt out of "little Britain" where the policeman asks the woman to describe the robber and she says "oooh he's gorrrrgeous"! I have nothing to report here, as everything sounds so lame in comparison to your adventure. We look forward to your next blog eagerly!!! Love you both xxxx The Wakies

F-I-C-P
Well it's Sunday morning here, and Fathers Day ...... So pleased to see another entry describing your travels, and am laughing hard here, the cat think's I am seriously MAD .... Fish in Clay Pot .,.. yeah yeah ... it's haunting you Vic .... Ha Ha ... sooooo funny, can imagine the look on your face when you read that on the menu, and the reason why you would have been bubbling with mirth for hours and hours. OK what's cuter then ? the guys or the dogs? And think that you will both need rehab to get over Business Class travel, can you upgrade to come back home .... think of something creative and just see what happens ... or maybe your friend Grant could organise it for you! ... New Zealand is a mess, don't know how much of the news you will get to see over there ... but a 7.1 earthquake hit the south island, lucky it was the middle of the night .......... and sooooooooooooooooo lucky that Sandra and Greg are home!!!! Victoria is flooding big time, we had a big rain and wind storm last night for a little while, even blew me smokes off the verandah! Lots of footy finals, blah blah. What else can I tell you ... not too much, tis a tad quiet at 7.30 in the morning ... still on walking stick, try walking without it and look like i'm doing slow motion zumbah ! ..... maybe a little early to chuck out the stick .... OK that's it for now ....... hope that the sea plane trip and tours are absolutely wonderful for you both ........... hug hug ...... take care .... and FISH IN CLAY POT RULES !! BM xxxxx
