Really enjoyed your blog on Elliston, great little place, we spent easter there, just love Trish's Melbourne Cup's frock and hat and well done in winning the sweep....
Well Hello Katie Woo.. ..This is real country where trucks are Trains and women are women, you would fit in very well. OMG, I just had an image of you driving one of these road trains..scary!
Not happy !!! One of the 'old crocs' in the photo as you called them, is baring her teeth and not happy with your comment regarding 'old'. I suggest you beware the angry 'old croc' Bro !
Crocs The big croc looks good, there are maybe 150 "Big" items scattered about Aussie, so the www says.
I remember tales of UK ships going to Wyndham to load frozen meat for the UK. I think the freezer works closed in the 60's, the place did not get a write up in the seafarers places of sights too see and ports to visit.
Thought you might have gone for a plunge in Lake Argyle, or are there beasties there.
Sorry to read about the shocks on the troll, presume soon mended.
Take Care
Brian
Seafarers places to visit and see.... ...I am surprised that the Port of Wyndham was not 'high on the list' of recommended visits for you lot !! Well then again.....:).. maybe not! The abattoir did close in the 70's I think and yes that put paid to the export of frozen meat. We have not done the Lake Argyle blog as yet so you will have to wait to see if (1) a dip was taken and (2) if there are beasties in there!
Wave Rock Just loved the blog on Wave Rock, I have always wanted to go there, missed it when I visited the beautiful Esperance , wonderful looking at all the photos, I feel as though I have now been there, thank you.........
Wave Rock ..we are pleased you re enjoying the Blog and seeing Pics to remind you of visits past and so that you can see some other spots to maybe visit in the future. Barb, I have a feeling that you and Tom may be featuring in a Blog entry or two in the future
Beautiful Warroora! On our travels around Oz we spent 5 days at Warra (14 Mile - right on the beach) at the end of September last year. I still can't believe the photos when I look back - the whitest sandy beach I have ever seen, and there is our van just metres from the bluest water! Love that place!
Hi Marilyn Yes, you are so right what a place. To park the van right on the beach and be able to cast a line from your awning is an amazing experience. I am glad our photos brought back some memories for you. Cheers Mike
You'll have nothing left on your bucket list! Cannot wait for the photos of this place, ELQ is supposed to be amazing and so too is the scenery but it is a shame to hear that they close off so much of it for the private guests who have probably arrived with far little effort than most of the guests: chopper anyone? Massive generalisation I know, but still a shame that it isn\'t open to all.
I reckon you will soon be in opposition to Lonely Plants with this blog!!
Very well done it makes good reading.
The price of fuel will soon be catching up with the UK, mind you thay have to transport it so far in the UK !!!!
In the great Aussie Outback I wonder what they do with spent automobile lubricating oil? Does it choke engine fuel filters?
Another shark attack just north of Perth. How are you getting on with the wild life? snakes? creepy crawlies? snappers?
Take care and keep having fun.
Brian

Hi, we are Mike and Trish and about to start the next phase of our lives. Over thirty years ago we travelled from London to Kathmandu which instilled in us a love of travel. We live in Australia and since our initial adventure have done the "family thing". During this period we have maintained our travel bug by regular trips OS but mostly by 4WDing and camping trips throughout this great country. Now it is time to do the big lap, "The Wrong Way Around." We have sold up in Kyneton, Victoria and put into storage what we wish to keep to furnish our next 'base' and the plan is to travel for at lea... full info
