Hello from Bonito Well it has been a while since I have updated anything on this website. Just been to busy enjoying myself. Ha Ha! Anyway, Bonito is a beautiful little place in the middle of Brazil. A full 14 hours bus ride from Igazu Falls. It is famous for it's Crystal Clear river. So we got there at about 6.30am, checked into a cool hostel. Very nice indeed. Went to bed for a few hours as the bus ride was horrendous. Bumpy road all the way through the night! Wasn't the most comfortable of journeys. So after getting up out of bed we had breakfast and then got on a bus to take us to a waterpark. Noy the type that you would expect in the likes of Spain. This place was a beautiful nature ... read more

Here we go again. Another great time in this wondorous place. Well Iguassu is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The Falls are their main attraction obviously! The Falls are fantastic, especially the Argentinian side looking accross to Brazilian side. You can see the ferocity and massive volume of water ponding down from the Devils Throat into an oblivion of mist. Reminds me when Superman had to dive into the mist at Niagara to save someone. Anyway, we arrived at our hotel after a very long journey from Sao Paolo bus terminal. I think 15 hours overnight and that excluded the 5 hour trip from Pâraty to Sao Paolo. We were bolloxed. Didn´t know our arses from our elbows. On the same day of arrival we went to the Brazilizn side of the falls. ... read more

Well, here we go again! We took a boat to a little town an hour and a half away to catch a bus to Paraty. The boat was great fun on the way to the town. Esteban colleague happened to be a on holidays with his girlfriend. He had a little guitar. We played and sang on the boat accross to the town. The time flew in. Tunes from Oasis to Ocean Colour Scene and Johnny Cash were sung. Great craic altogether. So we got a public bus to Paraty. The journey lasted 2 hours. We witnessed amazing views of the coast. Breathtaking is probably the better word to describe the views. We arrived in Paraty at approx 4pm. We all had a walk around the town. Esteban organised us for a bike ride into the ... read more

Hey everyone, Well the saga continues with meeting up with the travel group GAP and my fellow passengers in Hotel Banderiantes Copacabana on the 14 April. It turned out there was only 4 people travelling as far as Sucre. the Capital of Bolivia. The group was supposed to have 16 travellers but never materialised. We enjoyed the comforts of a few private buses to ourselves and our own rooms. Sweet! Eh? There was me, a girl from London called Linda, and then a couple from UK. Lee-Anne and Neil. Lee-Anne is from Belfast and Neil from Liverpool. We all hit it off like a house on fire. Although, I really thought Linda was a bit out there to say the least. Bloody Nutter! As the trip went on she inherited the nickname "OBRIGADA" or "OBRI" for ... read more

Rio Highlights Rio is a fantastic city, probably one of the best ones I have ever been to so far. But, there is one catch! Out of the six days I spent there, I never once felt totally safe. It´s an awful pity that it´s like that. I still reckon, Sydney is the best city I have been to. I was staying in Ipanema, one block from the beach at Posto 9, apparently a famous spot in Rio. The beach is fantastic and the views all around are amazing. I took a tour with the hostel to various places around Rio. It was a great, worthwhile tour. Good for the money. It last all day. I went with a few others out of the hostel, Cassie and also Yuki. We all got on great. The trip ... read more

Don´t mind the date on the photos. Need to get new camera. It kept on displaying same date on all photos Maracana Stadium Local teams play in Semi Final. Flamengo v Fluminese Result 1 - 0 to Flamengo. Brazil as far as I know won the World Cup here when they hosted it. It seats over 100,000 people. There was a game where Brazil were in the final and the stadium held a massive 200,000 people. It´s no longer allowed nowadays. This football match was the highlight of Rio for me. The atmosphere was electric. I never experienced anything like ever before. Superb! Our hostel organised tickets for the game. 70 reals which included bus transfers to and from the Maracana Stadium, A guide and also the tickets of course! There was 18 people from Our ... read more

Hey everyone, The first couple of days in Rio were exciting to say the least. Well my flight to Rio was an extremely long flight. I think it worked out to be 11 hours. Altogether I was travelling a solid 24 hours between Dublin to London and then on to Rio. As I arrived I got to immigration and there was queue to go through. Of course for some bizarre reason I was the only one picked out of the queue and I was escorted into a back room. I was quite nervous now at this stage. I thought someone may have put some drugs in my bag or something llike that. I felt I was on "Banged up Abroad". Nuts! Anyway the authorities were questioning me about my travel plans and I told them. It ... read more
