Chocolate and Cheese? Cheese floating in hot chocolate does not sound very appealing! bleugh! Its interesting reading about the farming methods in your blogs, I know you're particularly interested in the eco places and perma culture but do they do 'intensive' farming over there? I can't imagine they would do it like we do here and in America?? xx
Hi Lukey, I'm having a catch up of your blogs, I realised that i have a few still in my inbox to read. Very enjoyable. I always get an email notification FYI. Miss you xx
Yes Good to hear from you. ha ha - I have no conquistador style beard. It doesn't suit me! Funnily enough I think that London is more dangerous than many places I've been to in Latin America. And a friend from Panama City said that she feels safer there than in London.
good gear? Flipping 'eck Lukus!
I rekon you've got your Conquistador-style beard to thank for walking away from that one.
You might not have been treated so fairly in the bad-lands between Lambeth and Southwark ;)
Keep it up chief!
Cheers

Great entry Luke, this entry was great! Very interesting and important to expose. Keep them coming. Glad you're continuing to enjoy all that Colombia offers--I am quite jealous!
The coffee is great but I think the best is exported to Europe and the US. It's often not served as well as it could be - it's usually drank weak and black "tinto" or weak and white "perico" with lots of sugar. I prefer it Cuban style - strong and short.
That was a great trip! it sounds amazing, especially the 10 course meal. Not sure about the hot chocolate and cheese though. Seems like there's something fantastic around every corner over there. Photos are great, what an amazing country.
IPES's website Hiya,
I am currently volunteering at IPES and we are trying to promote the newly updated website, if anyone wants to find out any more information about IPES, then it can all be found at http://permacultura.com.sv/
Hey Luke, hows it going? Just found your blog, great report. I'm glad the trip went well, sory for some confusion. I'm not sure what happened about the steaks!!! And the $20 for immigration in Colombia, the captains have always paid that so I was unaware that you guys would be charged. I'l speak to Paul about it next time I hear from him. I'm glad it all worked out reasonably well anyway.
Safe travels,
Stuart
Shit hot mate, sounds good to get off the beaten track. Fair play for trying all the food, not sure about the mixed organs, could say it sounds offal! Ha. Actually think I would have given it a go too
