I am glad you had such a good time there. You really made the most out of it, especially with helping the kids, but also all other travel, so no reason to be to sad about returning. It's a fascinating continent there though, I completely agree. Enjoy the next 2 weeks (that's other people's total vacation in South America usually...) and thanks for the interesting blog!
Do you have a mosquito net for the night? I know it does not help during the day...but probably these bugs are also in the house? Not sure whether they sell this there....but actually they should?
You pay about $2 per day that you overstay, that´s it, plus you might get problems entering the country again later. Anyway, looks like I´ll have more than just one reason to go to Cochabamba once in a while ;-). Right now my visa is valid until March 23rd. After that, I might also just visit Peru for a bit instead of extending for another month. We´ll see.
Wow! Thanks for the report, that sounds extremely nice (and also challenging). Good job. The highlight is the tent on the bridge, but all other pictures are great as well. So beautiful scenery. Que lindo... (Do they say this in Bolivia as well?).
By the way, I hope you filtered/bleached the water from the streams ...at least when you were in lower altitudes.
Probably we think Peru is green because the main picture we know from there is Machu Pichu. I think thoses pictures are usually green. Good to hear from you, and good luck with everything!
