Great Walls i bet walking The Great Wall of China would be a little more challenging than Hadrian's Wall! Looks like you had good weather for the trip to the Wall. Amazing photo's.
Informative -as ever! Another good blog Paul. It all looks amazing and definitely a country on our bucket list. keep 'em coming and all the best to Keith as well.
Very Envious What an amazing trip. China is one of the places I have always wanted to visit. It is such a great experience to travel somewhere where lifestyles and culture are so very different. Have a great time and keep blogging.
Have a great time! Paul, Keith, I hope you have a great time. Perhaps when you are back, we can go out for a foreign meal of some persuasion...?! Keith, if you see some stones out of place on the Great Wall of China, please don't try to lift them back into position!
Villa Artemis Lovely to see a photo of this villa, I have just finished reading the book Blue Skies and Black Olives by John and Christopher Humpryes in which they tell the story of the building of the villa. What a beautiful villa in an extremely beautiful setting.
Rome visit Paul et al (a bit of Latin!), Rome looks fantastic. I'm there in October so would like to pick your brain when you are back. I hope getting back isn't too big a shock..!
Let me know when you are back and we'll have a curry..
Paul.
Millau and Ferme Auberge de Jassenove Hi
Glad you enjoyed your meal. we have a house in Nant and always eat there - it is fabulous traditional French rustic food. Hope the rest of your trip is as fabulous.
Pompeii Great post, really enjoyed reading it. The pictures are great too! During one of my visits to Italy, we spent one day at Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius and Herculaneum after time in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. It was mid-December and pouring down rain. It was cold and dreary. Although our pictures were not as good as these, for some reason the weather seemed very fitting for the sites. The water made the walk around a little slippery though!
Thanks for sharing

We're Home Sounds as if you had a great time in Greece. We've been home just over 2 weeks now, after Lake Garda we drove into Switzerland and stayed at Visp, Lake Geneva, Bern and Lucern, then made our way home via Germany and Luxembourg. Got cheap fuel in Luxembourg. Enjoyed Switzerland. Barry went to the test match at the rose bowl today and saw about 20 wickets between the rain.
Wonderful Trip Hi Paul,
What a trip, what a history lesson ! I hope the boys are enjoying this experience. I can imagine how much fun you are having.
All the best,
Duncan
