Day 8, the Vienna hotel had internet in the lobby on a little internet kiosk, but not for my laptop, so you will get the last few days. We started in day 8 in Budapest and left our hotel and drove up to an overlook of the city for a last look at Budapest. After that we headed to Vienna. After a fairly uneventfull drive we arrived in Vienna and checked into our hotel. Because of the Euro Cup soccer our hotel was out by the airport away from the city. After we got checked in we drove downtown. Our bus dropped us off very near the city center, so the first thing we did was wak to the cathedral called Stephans Dom. Atto, our guide, gave us a walking and orientation tour of the central ... read more

Sorry this is long, but it is several days in one. I will try and put in a bunch of photos to make it a bit more interesting. Day 3, Today we got up early and left Berlin. We had loved Berlin and wish we had more time. It was raining when we left today, which was the first rain Berlin has received in over six weeks., so I guess we brought the Utah spring weather with us. We left Berlin headed south and went past the airfield where the Berlin Air lift was carried out back when Berlin was cut off from the west after WWII. We drove to Dresden and when we arrived the rain let up for us, but it was a bit cold. First we toured the Zwinger museum complex. It consisted ... read more

Day 2 in Berlin. Tody we had our first breakfast at our European hotel. It consisted of bread, meats, cheeses, and even soft boiled eggs. a few of them learned how to crack the top off the soft boiled egg and scoop it out. After breakfast we headed off for our sightseeing tour. Our local guide was a guy called Kevin Kennedy and some of the kids found him a bit boreing, but he was very informative and I did not find him so bad. Our tour was mostly driving around in the bus seeing all of the major sights. We stopped at a few places such as the big concert hall, but it was mostly just going buy places and pointing out interesting events or things that have happened at certain places. From the obvious ... read more

Hello every one. We all made it safe and sound to Berlin. After we arrived we met our tour guide and he is a very nice guy. we first went for a lunch break at a big shopping mall called Potsdamer platz. After that we checked into our hotel which is in a great spot and seems to be quite comfortable. went to see Brandenburg gate and walked through a neat memorial to the Jews from WWII. After a quick check in, we went down to the old city and visited the big cathedral in town. we were able to get in for free as a school group and we really enjoyed the cathedral, called locally as the Berliner Dom. We were able to climb to the top and get a great view of the city. ... read more
