The city of St Petersburg is more than I could hope for in a tour. I dreamed of this trip and I still can't believe that the city is here for us to enjoy. First, there are a lot of people here. Worse traffic, I have ever seen. No one stops, they just go. The security is of course Russian, passport and you must be accompanied every where. But thigs went smoothly. Second, the palaces are every where. Not just a few, but everywhere. We drove twenty blocks passing different palaces. Our first tour in the morning was to Puskin where we visited Catherine the Great summer residence. The palace stunning aqua facade is nearly 1000 feet long, adorned with gold and white.
