City Photo I like photo of the city with the snow in it. I like how there is a Ford Escape in the photo. The presence of numerous Ford vehicles lets me know that this is a good place :-)
Thank you for the note Hi Michelle - thanks so much for the note about the Orphanage. I keep informed about them through e-mail send outs. I would love to return too. Zim sure does grab a hold of your heart doesnt it.
I'd love to hear more about your journey there.
Kelly
Sorry We missed you guys Hi Kamloops Caseys. I'm sorry we didnt get to see you guys during the Christmas Holidays, I'm glad that you had a good talk with Dakotah anyway.
Love you and hope you had a great Christmas.
The Orphanage I was at the orphanage in August. Those kids have a way of stealing your heart. I was there for a Month and got quite attached to them. I love Zimbabwe, to me it's home.
Oh my... More decisions... we'll be praying. The 'date'... we'll be praying! Maybe 'that' is what is affecting the decision? Well, have a great time at 'home' and enjoy your family, date, and hunting... you'll have to fill me in on the middle one of course! :0)
OH COLD... YUCK! Who likes cold? Why do people WANT to live in Canada in the winter? I am freezing and it is only ZERO. ZERO. ZERO. Ahhhhhhh! Glad I have a wood furnace. I cannot imagine what is going to happen to me when REAL winter sets in... and it is going to set in for you so much sooner! Pete is back in BC... now I have time to be on the computer :0) for fun! He is hoping to go up to Inuvik for work this week.... he has headed to Ft. Nelson, then Ft. Liard and we'll see where he is taken next! He is excited about the traveling NORTH... not sure why... but whatever! I told him that if he ever gets to go to Yellowknife he better check in! Well... gotta run... cough so hard this morning I think I pulled a muscle near my lungs. Ttyl
WOW... My girl is driving. That is SO cool! Well not that she hasn't been driving for years (like since she was 6 and we were out camping) but this is different... and I know she's late but OH WELL! Thanks for helping her with this Kelly!
Nice View
Keep on with the pictures it looks pretty nice there. It looks like bike riding weather there. Here we have beautiful weather I didn't even need a vest to ride. Love you guys
sounds like you're having a blast Kelly, Kotah and Talitha,
Sounds like you guys are having a great time in Yellowknife. The pics look great. That's awesome that you got so much stuff for such a good deal there. Do you find the average population has lots of money. I will tell of the job opportunity to 12 Stones. Miss ya's. Keep in touch. Godbless,
Jen
THE MALL... Glad that you had your chance to experience THE MALL... I wish we had a mall like that here... although if my van is ever empty when we drive past driveways a day or two before GARBAGE day I am going to be able to collect some pretty cool things. Was wishing it was empty yesterday on the way home... oh well! There has been some pretty cool stuff left here and with a few screws and a great coat of Melamine... it looks almost NEW! :0) Glad you are having fun!
Great to hear from you Isn't it fun getting a great bargain!!! We just read your blog. Really, I'm envious - not sure I'd want to live there for the winter but the road trip sounds like it was a great adventure! Keep in touch!
HI again... Great pic's... those are not the townhouses I lived in when I was there... they are NEWER... I was there 22 years ago. I'll have to see where you are on a MAP of Yellowknife so that I can see where you are in relation to where I was. Hope you had fun at the MALL... wink wink! :0)
Ahhhhh There is my baby girl (well she's 19 but still my baby) and my friends! How cool is that! Glad you made it safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing more pictures when you get settled in! Wonder if you are in the same townhouse I lived in when I was 18 and working in Yellowknife! :o) Love you, Miss you... etc!
HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU.... Just wanted to say... have a safe trip (with my daughter)... call sometime... 836-9917. I am trying to get settled back here, feeling VERY tired at the moment. Kids are draining me, need a break... might look into cashing in my Delta miles and going south when it starts to get cold :o) Gotta run, back to cleaning!
Winter 2009 Still here in the chilly North and loving it.
A new adventure: 2008 Yellowknife... In winter.
