Well we made it here, About 3pm we arrived. The drive was pretty, but very much the same for a long long time. And, for anyone travelling up here. It would have been really nice to have one of those signs that says " Last Gas station for 250km..." at High Level. Second call to CAA since I signed up. All about this trip.

We overnighted in Hay River. That was a late night and my stomach is feeling a little queesy from all the travel but the girls and pets are doing fine. We're finally here, the odometer says 2100km and I reset it just out of Littlefort.

The 60th parallel didn't have a line to stand over. We would have done the one foot in -one foot out photo for sure... But couldn't.

Here are some photos as promissed. Only got one done. I'll put a couple more on When I get more time. Bye

Kelly

This was a t a little native village they call Meander. There used to be a gas station here.

We were dissapointed that there was no line to step across for the photo op. There is a nice interpretive center/visitor center there too but we didn't take the time to stop. Maybe if we hadn't made the 2 hour rest stop in Meander.
Buffalo...Buffalo...

We saw a couple of bunches of Bison on the side of the road. Thankfully none in the middle. And several single bison grazing along the highway right of way.

It surprised me . There were little houses, some shacks, perched on top of rocks along the side of the highway. These I think are people's cottages. I want to find out more.

Yes those are a tall set of stairs. And there is another level above, the ceilings are high in these places and the laundry is at the very top. Yes I will need some help once I find a washer and dryer to put up there. Can you believe Talitha and I hauled all of our stuff all the way in there? Ah success.

There is my baby girl (well she's 19 but still my baby) and my friends! How cool is that! Glad you made it safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing more pictures when you get settled in! Wonder if you are in the same townhouse I lived in when I was 18 and working in Yellowknife! :o) Love you, Miss you... etc!

HI again...
Great pic's... those are not the townhouses I lived in when I was there... they are NEWER... I was there 22 years ago. I'll have to see where you are on a MAP of Yellowknife so that I can see where you are in relation to where I was. Hope you had fun at the MALL... wink wink! :0)
