Homecoming Glad you made it safely home! Could you maybe keep writing these blogs once a week so that I have some form of entertainment?? See you in MUK... Oh yeah, I think you could've at least photoshopped ONE picture of me in there somewhere... like Mt. Rushmore...
love birds NO, I'm not crying, I just had something in my eye......that was cheesy Josh, but I love it and I love you guys! It was so great to see you both; I'll continue to find my "happy place" and I look forward to seeing you again soon...wherever that may be. Thanks for the inspiration!
What? No more blogs. I don't think you two understand. I live for these blogs. Josh, I will need you to make up blogs from here on in. Make em' good. You both rock!
What a wonderful trip! Hi you two. It certainly sounds like you are having an absolutely wonderful trip - with lots of great memories to last you a lifetime! Looking forward to your final installment!
Take care,
Brian
Dan says, "But you forgot to go over the bridge and see Uncle Earl in Iowa". We are there now and we concur with all you have said, but you forgot to drive the Nascar cars at the Mall of America. You will just have to go back. Dan and Sharon
Vacation Okay, seriously guys, just how long have you been on vacation? It seems like I've been reading these blogs for months now!
Looks like you guys are having a blast....are your tushes worn out yet?
Actually, I've made it off the rock and the BN is now at NTC. We are half way through the hump. Will be on the mainland for a few weeks and then back to the daily grind. Okay. Glad all is well. Talk to you soon.....I think you've sold me as Chichago being my next vacation spot.
Love,
Lisa Marguerite
Traveling too We just went thru Galveton-wonderful and now we are in Lafayette, LA in a KOA . Our travels aren't as excititng as yours, your moose story was hilarious. My biggest wildlife thrill was a water moccasin, Yuck, be safe, have fun, Dan and Sharon
Go Army! Can't believe you didn't stop by West Point! Err...okay, yeah I can. That place sucks.
Don't know if you'll have the time, but Portland, Maine is a cool town. At the very least you'll get cheap lobsters.
Also, you better have Montreal on your list - that town is great! You got to go to the original Peel Pub (on Peel St.). That place is fantastic.
Okay, that's enough unsolicited advice from me. Take Care!
turn around immediately! you guys missed Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House, didn't you? when i was in savannah it was, by far, the BEST eating experience. hell with being in savannah, it was just one of the most amazing meals everrrrrr. you have to do the whole windmill arms thing to get through the meal. don't think, just eat. man, i loved that city.
i was in freakin' Ireland for St. Paddy's Day and it sounds like you guys found the good party. go fig.
burlington! you guys are totally copying my 2004 victory [uh, losing] tour, post-campaign. my best friend ever lives in burlington - she's a med student. don't go to med school - they make you work, like, a lot. i dug the town when i was there too. though i usually don't trust any state with so many trees. why do they need all those trees anyway?
i totally agree i had the same reax to NYC. i hate to cave, being a native Angeleno, but they got it goin' on over there. so it's LA and NYC - each with their own coast. SF and Chitown can suck it though ;)
even though most of my phily time was spent working [uh, losing] a campaign, i liked it too - i'd love to go back and do it tourist style . . .
Farewell I feel so lucky we got to have you guys here for three whole days! What a blast we had showing you some of the little bits we've learned about our city. You are welcome with us anytime (and I promise next time, all appliances and plumbing will be fully functional!) Thanks so much for the gift and for not killing the cat while we were gone! Enjoy the rest of your travels...Ahoi ho...or whatever... See you soon on the West Coast. Love you guys!
We started We are on our trip across the states, but your trip has been so much more exciting than ours, but that's because we're old! Your blogs have been great-loved the alligator story, can't top that and Marisa , this last one had us laughing out loud at one point. Keep them coming. PS We are in Zion National Park, Utah and it is awesome.
From Larry & Betty Hi Josh and Marissa, we have certainly enjoyed your travelblogs, and have read all of them with great interest. In fact you two inspired us to try our hand at blogging. We did two entries on the travelblog site, but I couldn't figure out how to get our pictures into the story where we wanted them, like you do. Can you e-mail me sometime on that trick?
Sounds like you are having the trip of a lifetime!
Love, Betty
Wait...don't leave Georgia!!! Hey guys!!! Man, if I would have known you were in Georgia I would have INSISTED that you visit Cumberland Island, the place where Matt and I were engaged. It is one of the most beautiful, magical places I have ever been and is the LAST pristine barrier island on the east coast (I'll try not to be TOO political when I say that it's position as the last "pristine" barrier island is in constant threat from Republican legislators who want to open the island up to cars (currently only a few permits, like 5, are allowed) and build a bridge to the island. Opening the island up to cars is, you guessed it, just another way for the capitalists to make money, but would endanger this precious eco-system. ANYWAY, it is an amazing place with fascinating history and if your road trip is at all flexible, I suggest you make a U-turn and head back down there. You can camp on the island. If not, when you win American Idol and head to South Beach, make sure you swing up to Cumberland. As a P.S. I will say that I'm feeling a little fiesty today (working on a paper about adolescent fathers) and, you know me, I can never resist an opportunity to slam retarded politicians (notice I did not say "republican"...I don't discriminate). Anyway, I love you guys and am so glad that you are having such a blast!!! That alligator stuff kind of freaked me out...aren't they really fast runners?? My "post" is turning into an e-mail, so I best be going. Are you really coming to Ann Arbor? If so...when? Oh, and if you get that tete a tete with George W, let me know, I've got a few concerns myself! Hugs and Kissies! :)
Josh and Marisa, I love your Travelblog! I feel like I'm living vicariously through your adventures (since I have no life right now with graduation about 6 weeks away). It's great to see and hear about all of your adventures. Keep me posted. It's the only traveling I'll be doing for a while. Take care and have fun.
Enjoy while you can...
Back this AM from former Yugoslavia. Snow, tropical rain, 100 plus MPH wind and 3 days of sun but great rip. Looking forward to your stop in Arizona.
Where's my audographed baseball? Hope you had a good time at the ball game. Don't try to preserve the ink by putting a solution on the ball... I doubt if you remember when Josh.
Keep having a great time.
