I’m on my way to Poland! Because my flight was a transfer flight, we had to stop at Frankfurt Airport in Germany until we could take a smaller plane. You can say that the flights were ‘connected’. My mother is on this trip with me and will be with me the entire time in Poland. My mother and I flew for 8 hours from Chicago to Frankfurt, which was nothing compared to the flight a woman next to us was taking. It was her first time flying; she was going to Alexandria, Egypt and would spend a total of 22 hours of flying. She was doing this all to see her fiancé… How sweet, right? My family and I went camping in the first week of July. We had nothing to do and we all decided to travel to some Amish town past the South Bend of Indiana, but that's when I saw the sign that Notre Dame was close to the South Bend as well. I convinced my father and mother that we go to the University of Notre Dame rather than the Amish town and soon, after some turns and restroom breaks, we found our way to the Notre Dame Stadium that had free parking, (hooray!). My mother and I walked the campus while my dad stayed behind and all I can say was that the campus was just stunning. So I decided to pull my buddy, Dennis Kraus, to go with me to Northwestern University! We did not know what to expect, so we left for the AM rush hour train to Linden in the loop. To our surprise, the train ride to downtown Evanston was almost one hour. The train ride was tedious and lasted forever, despite the fact we went express! We arrived at the downtown area and had to walk some distance before reaching the campus itself. We visited the Admissions Office and took some pamphlets and information regarding the school. We got lucky and made it to an information session, where Dennis and I found about a bit more about the classes offered by Northwestern.
