I was raised near Midway airport and maybe the airports and planes got into my blood because I really like to travel! I am that type of guy who just can't sit still. I've visited many places in the US and in Europe, and still I am eager to go on and visit more places as I get older. I’ve visited a lot of countries like Poland, Slovakia, Germany, and Canada. I’ve visited a lot of places in the United States as well like Florida, California, South Dakota, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Washington, Ohio, Minnesota, and Iowa. I want to show everyone that the United States is beautiful. As a city-raised child, I like to walk in the woods or escape from the city scene to take a fresh breath. The United States is truly beautiful with its small forests and parks. Not only that, but the countries I visit are also mesmerizing. I have visited Poland over 9 times every year in a row from 2002-2011. This year, I will be visiting Poland for the 10th time, and the memories are always amazing. What else do I like to do? I love to visit colleges! Even though I still have plenty of time, it is never too early to start looking where to go to college. Besides, it is my future, and I care about that future. I do not mind hitting the ground running. I've visited Notre Dame, Northwestern University, George Washington University, George Mason University, Howard University, Marquette University, and the University of Chicago. Some of the college campuses I visited really took my breath away, some are huge and abundant with many things ranging from an open campus to a beautiful interior design. There is a whole world to explore- and I want to explore the most I can!

I did some research on where my match ball of Adidas was from and I originally thought it was from a place like Pakistan, but actually the match ball (that costs $150) was made in China! Whaaaaaaat! I saw a video where the ball is made and I made some observations from that video. I saw that people do look tired, they do only one part of the job and they do it over and over. These people wear their typical every day clothes, no uniforms or anything. I saw that the floor was, indeed, made of concrete and I saw no windows. It honestly looked like a huge warehouse with machines and people making balls. It's really weird to see, because I remember the article Mr. Filie showed us about the strikes of the Nike ... read more

As you may know, the FIFA World Cup is coming this June! As a kid who really really likes soccer, this event is probably the biggest event for any soccer fan. The World Cup comes every 4 years. In 2002, it was in Japan/South Korea. In 2006, it was in Germany. In 2010, it was in South Africa. In 2014, it will be in Brazil. Now in every of those World Cups, there was one thing that wow'ed the soccer crowd aside from the stadiums and wonderful sights; the ball! The ball is literally why the game happens, you need it in every one! All the previous ones had various designs and patterns that either had something to do with the culture or representation of the host country. The Jabulani, or the ball used in the ... read more

May 21, 1915, there came to our compound in Diarbekir from the village of Karabash, three hours to the east, three or four wounded and the following day (May 22) over a score of wounded Armenian and Syrian women and children. (They, the villagers, told of a night attack by the Kurds three days previous and that the next morning the government had sent gendarmes who refused to allow anyone to come to Diarbekir. Some managed to get away and finally all who could walk or be carried came on the dates mentioned.) The wounds were practically all infected and I have classified them as follows: (a) Inside wounds (probably from swords and knives) of the scalp, face, neck, shoulders, back, extremities. (b) Perforating bullet wounds of the extremities. (c) Wounds made by heavy cutting instruments, ... read more

War is where the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other. One of the biggest wars that I have never heard of is the Yugoslav wars. If you didn't know, Yugoslavia was a very big country that was created after the destruction of World War I. The Yugoslav Wars were actually a series of wars- from 1994-2001, leading to the liberation of these countries from Yugoslavia: Bosnia and Herzegovina Slovenia Croatia Serbia Montenegro Macedonia Kosovo (Just recently in 2008) After these countries separated one after another , Yugoslavia fell apart and didn't exist no more. Serbia and Montenegro was actually one country, called Serbia and Montenegro, until Montenegro separated from Serbia between 2006 and 2008. Kosovo is a little country, just separated ... read more

If you ever ask Dennis or Shorty how I sound like when I talk about subjects with music from the iPhone commercial and no one is looking at me, Dennis would tell you I would sound like someone close to Gordon Freeman and Shorty would tell you I sound like a narrator to some documentary about life lessons. However, it's not really about the music that makes it special, I would say some of my ideologies are... different. I don't really think about it too often at school, but if I have the time and think about it for a little bit, I can get really philosophical. And sometimes my ideas and ways of how I view things, as is, is very different than what goes on in a society around us. Sometimes, society needs a ... read more

It always seems impossible until it's done. If I were to chose someone who I think would make a perfect modern day philosopher, I mean- I'd have to chose Nelson Mandela. For those of you who are not familiar with him, he was once the president of South Africa and did many many things that have literally changed South Africa ever since then. He was actually arrested for 27 years because he wanted to sabotage and overthrow the South African communist party. Mandela became part of making the multiracial elections in 1994 after the fall of the South African Communist Party. Nelson Mandela also played a role between other nations, playing as a mediator between Libya and the United Kingdom. Nelson Mandela never wavered in his devotion to democracy, equality and learning. Despite terrible provocation, he ... read more

Have you ever been so angry that you just wanna- arh! Rip someone's head off or something! That must be some serious anger, and everyone has those anger moments, sometimes because of stress or past experiences. But, if I were to venture into the Inferno and its 5th Circle, who would I see down there? The fifth circle is all about the wrathful, those who have been living in constant anger in their lives. Here are some people who I think I'd see there if I was like Dante and visited the Inferno in the future. 1. Nicolas Cage - Though it has nothing to do with the treasure he's found or the fame across the webs, Nicolas Cage admitted to having uncontrollable anger issues ever since he was a kid. He claimed to have "ripped ... read more
