John and Gloria Travels' Guestbook

Suzanne would be jealous of the Crawfish
She still likes to brag that she paid about $175 for a lobster in Melbourne. Maine Lobster is about the same as what you paid! (USD)

Launch for Strike Me Roan
Gloria - Richard Morphett had a book launch for "Strike Me Roan" at the "Red Rock Books" in Horsham. This was August of 21. I've contacted the store to see if they have any copies left. There were also copies at Nhill Post Office. So glad John’s graft went so well. I had a SCC on my nose too with skin graft so understand what he is going through. Yes I was concerned as years ago I met a lady who had most of her nose removed & had a plastic cap & thought oh no I couldn’t cope with that but thankfully the surgeons have come a long way since then & only I really know the difference. Thankfully they removed all of John’s SCC. Enjoy your trip to Robe & looking forward to reading your travels. Love to you both.

Hello from PM
So glad to hear/read your travels. Always love reading them, makes me feel I’m on the trip too!! How I wish. We had a breakaway for 4days in Echuca a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at a lovely Airbnb dog friendly so we could take Billy. Very warm during the day but cool nights so makes it copable. We were recommended a great restaurant out of Moama, Riverbank, an old homestead on banks of Murray River, at the back of Moama Waters caravan park. Lovely to get away. All good here. Enjoy Ballarat. ON THE ROAD
Hi, Lee and Pete, Glad you are getting some you time! Can highly recommend retirement! We lived in our van for 6 months of the first 12 months of owning it so know we can easily live in the van. Have everything we need on board, coffee machine, thermomix, satellite dish etc. What van did you end up getting? There are so many on the market now went with Olympic, old tried and true been around for many, many years though we are very happy with it there is always teething problems but all ironed out very early on. The best single thing we have put in ours is a composting toilet, those cassettes are a pain having to empty them every three days or so. Quite possibly we will see you somewhere on the road, let us know your plan west or east first etc. We have so many people to see on the way we have to streamline things a bit coz want to get back for Christmas with the kids, get out of the top end before wet season! Anyway exciting times for all of us ahead. You must be on the countdown 4 weeks to go. Talk soon xxx

Looking forward to seeing your Big Lap!!!!!!
Hi Glorsy and Johno Good on you guys for pulling the pin on such an a$$h£* of a company!!! As you know, we have had such a bad experience with the retirement village set up that my Mum was in, but we all felt such relief to get legally out of there!!! Your van looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing and reading about your adventures. But more importantly.....can't wait to see you guys up our way later in February. Love to you both xxxxxxx
