Wow! After BA how are you both going to survive in the mundane life of Santa Cruz? Two pound steaks no less? Are tapas? little "taters"? After two martinizers I can dance a tango....one move and I'm out of here ! We need a CD /DVD of this whole experience of yours. Make a great Christmas present...Thank you..JL

Holanda Hey Ron glad to hear you're following the blog. We're having loads of fun. Now in Buenos Aires.
I was rooting for your Dutch as well. What a heartbreaker. I have been chatting with the locals here in Buenos Aires, at least Netherlands faired better than the Argentines.
Dynamic Duo Johaan - you and Kayce are unbelievably adventurous to spend 3 freezing days in the salt flats and eat chicken feet stew! Glad you were able to make up for it with the sea bass birthday dinner. I really enjoyed the pics - great blog. Miss you!
"If you’ve never had the pleasure of hanging out with a Chinese person speaking Spanish, I highly recommend it."
This was my favorite part.. HA
SICK DUDE
Well you two are having the trip that most people only dream of. I have had elevation sickness and I know what you went through Johaan.
Johaan, to be a real hero you be sure you are carrying all of your stuff plus lots of Kayces'.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and we look forward to seeing you in August.
Love, Dad
Panamá Hey Johaan,
I recognize some of the shots of PC - although I didn't count the skyscrapers under construction, I have no doubt that it is as you report - a whopping 191. I also have some great bus photos from our April trip there. And, I know exactly where you were in Bocas! Although we stayed in Dolphin Bay, we took a day trip to where you were - the green thatched roof cottages over the water.
Monday the new TEPpers start classes. Orientation was today, but I missed it b/c of having just flown in from Seattle.
Abrazos, Ann
This is awesome! Hey bud,
I was thinking about you the other day and I totally forgot that you had a blog! I went through my emails to figure out how to get to it and I am very impressed with what you have posted. The pictures are awesome, your descriptions are better, and your experiences have greatly deepened my interest about going abroad. I miss you bud and I hope you continue to have an amazing time!
P.S. I am very sorry that it is going to be an all European World Cup Final!
Happy Birthday Hope you had a Happy Birthday! I just chatted with my sister-in-law and she wanted to know when you'd be in Panama City - she has a house there that you could have stayed in :( to bad it was after the fact. Sounds like you're having a wonderful time. The sales this weekend are down at the Diggins and New York with you being gone!! Chat with you later. xox
Enjoy Sounds like you're having fun. Tell Steven hi and give him a hug. I'll print out your info and give it to Granny to read. She'll have to see the pictures later - my colored ink is getting low. All's well in Trinity County - it's warming up and the pool is wonderful. Take care, be safe and keep in touch. See you in August! oxox

¿Qué tal, Nica? Hola Johaan,
Thank you for including me on the blog subscription list. Ned and I have been to Nica and had a fabulous trip. It is therefore fun to read your perspective. When we went to San Juan del Sur, it was not yet gringo-ized at all. In fact, we took a duffel bag full of t-shirts, duct tape, and other sundries for the kids in the then-village. We also had a fabulous experience at a small eco-lodge. To get there, we had to ford a rather "exciting" arroyo. Looking forward to your notes on Panamá (where we were in March-April). Abrazos, Ann
Sounds like good times! Hey Johaan!
Sounds like ya'll had a great trip. Thanks for goin' with UCSB Adventure Programs.
Congrats on graduating! Have fun, Rod
