Hey, glad that you have got there ok. My mouth is watering when I hear the food descriptions. If expensive I reckon you should still try everything...you may never have a second chance!!
Hope you get to Thailand and do your trip there despite the red shirts. Keep safe. Buff x
Travel expert Hi Joe
Have really enjoyed reading your blog. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip as much as Goa. You are clearly an expert at travelling around now so Uncle Lozz and i will be looking for some tips as we haven't seen much of India yet. We are particularly interested in rail travel but suspect we will probably be looking for slightly more up market accommodation! Looking forward to seeing you when you get back.
Love
Aunty Ruth xx
Hi Joe
So pleased you are ok and having a fantastic time. It all sounds brilliant, I think I am going to miss reading your blog when you come home. Speaking of home I went to see Dargate today with Yuman and Danny as your Mum and Dad complete the sale on tuesday, it is a beautiful house and as your Mum was showing me round I could see holds lots of precious memories for her. Kirstie has had all her injections now ready for Keyna in July I managed to get Malarone for £82 in the end from Boots on line. Well Joe, have to go now. Take care honey and enjoy the rest of your adventure.
Stay safe

Well then you are becoming the independent traveller, branching out on your own. Good stuff! Those iced coffees sound pretty good. Stay out there as long as you can because it is still really cold here! Enjoy x

Hey Joe
Sorry I missed your birthday, hope you had a good one, which it sounds like you did. Yes it must be weird vigilating when in theory you only just sat yours. Joe, where and how much did you get your Malarone tablets? We're trying to get Kirstie's sorted for Keyna. Keep on having the time of your life honey. We miss you.

Hi joe, glad you're having fun on your birthday! i opened the Telegraph travel magazine and there was an article about the houseboats in Kerala. Apparently they are converted rice barges. The pictures looked good. Surprized you could fit 13 people on board though.
glad you didn't jump Well that is a cheerful name for a tourist attraction! Sounds like you are really making the most of your spare time out there and really good that you have others to travel with. Do you think a group of you will travel at the end? And do you really think that you will only extend your trip by five days???!!
Any more meat? And very glad to hear that the tash has been decided against.
Enjoy the heat, it is rather chilly here.

Liverpool At least we beat spurs this week! (poor Will, you know how he keeps changing, he'd just decided to go with spurs then we beat them!) Nan says she really misses you (and the fish and chips) too!ps one moustache in the family is DEFINATELY enough! Although if you ask heid I'm sure she would say some poor hair growth decisions are part of the experience!!!
Miss you! Kirst xxxx
Hi Joe Hi Joe, your mum passed on your blog details to Gordon today so I have been reading your updates with great interest. What a fabulous opportunity for you, it sounds as if you are having an amazing time, you will hold on to this experience. I shall pass your address on to Harriet and Tom, who was the Langton girl??
Take care of yourself, you are doing a wonderful job, well done.

Ooops Sorry for the delay everyone I thought I had been publishing my updates but i had been pressing a different button by accident!! luckily the website saves a copy of them anyway so i didn't lose any of it.
Thinking of you all loads,

madurai is mad Madurai is a mad city. i remember i once saw a man doing a handstand on the pavement with his head totally burried under the ground. perhaps he is still there. did you see the famous temple there? the dust and dirt and people is pretty overbearing in the beginning but it wears off after a while. when you return home england might seem surprisingly overly sterile in comparison
food and toilets Well, a vegetarian after all these years!! Hope you are coping. And I really can't wait to see your moustache when you return, will you go for the handlebar look? Glad you have got going with your work - the two months are just going to rush away. Enjoy!
Hey Joe - thrown in at the deep end or what!! I think your mother's genes came out when you argued your way onto replacement flights and into a free hotel! Hope you pick up your connections before too long and look forward to reading the next instalments.
I'm travelling to India with a company called Projects Abroad, spending two months helping out at the Madurai YMCA an orphanage for boys aged 7 to 16.... full info
