Brings back memories!
Although I'll have to offer an outsiders view on the build up and aftermath if I ever get round to it circa 2013!

Thanks for the Rugby World Cup 2011 post
Your blog post was like being there - especially love the fans - what a look! Loved the garb and makeup!

It's all about the fans
Anyone who has been to a major international sporting tournament will know that sport is secondary in importance when compared to the people that you meet from around the world. Giant prawns, Argentinian sheep, painted faces and coloured hair - this tournament had it all!

What a fantastic experience!
I've been waiting on this blog for a while, and it was well worth the wait! A wonderful story coupled with equally good videos and photos. You will always look back on these days with fondness, and I am so pleased that you were able to participate in the tournament in a manner granted to a lucky few.

Well done
I once walked from London to Brighton in the UK for Oxfam so I can empathise with the effort needed. Never again, though! John

Lest we Forget
Great to be there with you this morn! You got some awesome pics. Beautiful ..you can really feel the atmosphere. ANZAC day is definitely one of the most moving experiences you'll ever have, and one day in NZ I absolutely and truely support with all my heart. And ..I think you need to continue the newly established (as of this morning) dawn service tradition of passing around a packet of anzac biscuits for sure! Quite appropriate! Nothing like chomping on an anzac biccie at 530 in the morning! Nice work Jo!

Lest We Forget
Jo - nice blog, I attended our local dawn service, not as big as this but very moving all the same. Take care.
