Bonjour! After our experience with the World War II stuff in Caen, and the D-Day beaches, it was on to Dinan. We stayed with my coworker's brother, Brian, and his family in Dinan. Dinan is what you'd picture on a postcard you'd get from France...you know, the little quaint French villages in the countryside. It has a couple of old castles on the hillside built in the 13th century - literally a stone's throw from where we stayed. But the best part was the food! Analyn, Brian's wife (a full on French lady) cooked us an amazing French dinner... all 5 courses. There was some meat that was tied up with strings, some salmon pie, smelly cheeses, and some regional pie from Breatagne! (A very rich and crispy butter cake... and it was positively sinful!)
