Also the little tempels outside peoples houses are spirit houses.
I'm Jealous! Hey Jeff -- Great pics and I love your commentary also! You're making want to visit Thailand, where I was born...I know they have beautiful temples there too. I just didn't appreciate them when I was a little kid. Stay safe and keep the pics/blogs coming!
Wow! That reflection at Bayon is spectacular!! I just love the moss covered Buddah! What a beautiful face in the moss - is he smiling at you or is he a serene Buddha? Stunning! Have a safe journey home!!
Too fast! You are so right about this trip going by so very fast! I can't believe things are winding up!! Inspiration comes in the wildest places. I am sure you have touched and inspired these young people you have spent time with on this grand journey through Cambodia.
About the carvings The carvings are all so intricate and beautiful. I'm still searching for the answer to the question that came to my mind while visiting Petra in Jordan, and other European ancient buildings: "What kind of tools were used to carve those masterpieces?" Maybe some of the elders in Cambodia might be able to answer. We love reading your daily blog....
I think you just super imposed yourself, since you know all the tricks of the trade! I was wondering if you were really there. I hardly recognized you with all the gray? You look great, keep up the good work!
Wow I always knew you took great pictures; but who knew you could write so well too! Now if you'd just eat weird stuff along the way (really weird, I'm talking icky) like Anthony Bourdain- you could get your own travel show on cable. I'd watch. XOR
Yes, but do you get free continental breakfast? Hey Jeff-
Very nice cityscapes. Everything looks so clean... Like Baltimore.
Looks like the weather is cooperating with you. Your hotel room appears to be very nice, but do you get free continental breakfast? Happy Hour? I thought not..
The pretty flower is a Hymenocallis caroliniana, commonly known as a Spider lily. They are a perennial native to the southern US.
I know you must be extremely worried about us back here..Especially since Tom is on leave all week. Fear Not - I have everthing under control. I have made only a few changes to the structure of the Unit... Hardly noticeable.
ENJOY!! And Keep the great photos coming. rt
Okay...Ciera is hooked now too!! Keep up the great pictures!! Ciera now wants to go...but she says she will bring her own food!

Hmmm It might not be the cows you're eating if you are seeing cattle roaming around??? The important thing is, are you seeing cats and dogs and lots of them!
Ta Prohm Well Jeff I cannot imagine how that looks for you standing there. But the pictures are great what a sight that must be. Again your talents behind the lense are fantastic. Enjoy the trip....the Canada Day party yesterday was not quite as spectacular as your photos but I did my best. Again be safe and thanks for the updates.
