We're joined on our morning bus to Ha Long Bay by our local guide, Tay. He seems really nice and tells us lots of interesting things about Vietnamese culture, including how people who are buried here will normally be excavated after 3 years in the middle of the night, cleaned, and then put back into a new (smaller) box for a final burial. I'd love to know how widespread this is in Vietnam! After a few hours we arrive at Ha Long Bay, which is even more packed with tourists than I had been expecting. It feels like we're caught up in a mass exodus of people while because there are so many boats leaving the harbour. Ha Long Bay is simply breathtaking, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. The pictures
