In the morning we head over to the Royal Palace Museum with our local guide for our included activity. Inside you have to dress appropriately (long trousers) and are not allowed to take any photos of the items, as they have important religious and cultural significance.
While walking around the museum our group is recognised by two different people who were at the disco last night. I guess our attempt at Lao dancing left an impression on the locals...
After the museum we pack and get ready for our 1 hour flight to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos with a population of about 200,000. The plane we're on has propellers - apparently much cheaper to use when flying short distance.
We check into our hotel, but it’s not the nicest of places as most of the rooms smell like they've got a serious sewage problem in the bathrooms. I guess that's what you get for traveling on a budget in a 3rd world country. Ra says he'll let Intrepid know and hopefully the next group won’t have to stay here.
