Today we had no planned activities in Luang Prabang so we decided to rent some bikes for 10,000 KIP (1 USD) and see the area. First stop was Wat Xieng Thong, where our local guide had been a monk for the past 7 years.

After cycling around a bit more and getting to an internet cafe we headed back to where our accommodation was for a BBQ in the evening.

Our local tour guide took us Lao line dancing in the evening where our taxi drivers joined us for a drink. The place we went to was one of only two discos in the area and we seemed to be the only foreigners, so we drew quite a bit of attention while on the dance floor.

Yeah, it's called "Thong Bay Guesthouse". It's a little out of town but you can rent bikes for 1 USD a day and everything is within easy cycling distance.
