After yet another early start, we disembark at 8am and get into our bus to take us to Hanoi. On reflection, I would be quite happy to pass through Vientiane and spend another day in Ha Long Bay instead. The area around Ha Long Bay has lots of construction work going on, and just like the bay itself every agrees that this place will be almost ruined in a decades time because of tourism.
