RIGHT. where was I? HORSE RACING! where to start... the horses is BIG BUSINESS in HK - there are different meeting places but I was off to Happy Valley - on HK island a short cab ride from Tin Hau MTR. My visit was preluded with the knowledge that the profit from this one meeting in Happy Valley would be greater than the sum of all the meetings everywhere for a whole season in England - NUTS. Arriving and paying the entrance fee of $10HKD (about 80p maybe) i was stopped in my tracks - the place was ****ing huge!! Visa application: DONE. Sat down with the form and actually turned out to be surprisingly bloody easy! Name and stuff - and being able to write really helped! Employment history and stuff - was more like a job application! New photos done which i doubt i would ever be able to use to get a crb check done to work with kids but they will do for my entry into china! All that has to be done is to put it together on friday when i get my university certificates and its off! Should be booking my flight early next week - which is pretty bloody scary - exciting, but scary! Well that was a successfully boring entry. :) But with my Visa done its just flights and packing left! eeek! ... read more

So after being offered the job with Chunky Onion Theatre Company out in Hong Kong I have informed family and friends and I have now gone from 99% sure i would go to 100%. So this is it!! In 4 weeks time i will be leaving my life here behind!! Its so exciting and yet laced with a constant air of what I am leaving behind. i have made a decision to have no regrets. I will never regret my decision to go. 2 years in a magical place donig what i love, being paid to do it with opportunities to explore the whole of asia and eventually the world. i feel, perhaps rather obviously that this is the start of something huge.
