Good Luck Wonderful opportunity to visit old haunts with good memories. Your walk sounds wonderful too - hope the weather stays kind and you enjoy the great Northumbrian hospitality.
Vietnam Despite spending two days in Hue, it rained constantly so our tours of the places you visited were none too comfortable and where cut short. Your very informative blog of visits to the Imperial Palace and mausaloeums were very interesting and provided some additional information. Such a lovely country. Hope you enjoy Cambodia which will provide another contrast
Your two blogs bought back many memories of Vietnam. We felt Hanoi was our favourite City and wished we had been able to spend a day or two longer. I will be interested to hear what your thoughts are when you finish Vietnam. Glad yu had good weather in Halong Bay - a wonderful place but will be ruined I think once the airport has been built!!!
cooking thai style The finished food looked lovely and tasty - glad there were no serious effects from the chilli. Looking forward to hearing from you when you reach Vietnam and Cambodia - happy memories and I think you will enjoy some lovely food. Hope you are not 'templed' out yet
Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Frances. I'm enjoying your blog entries about your trip. It sounds quite interesting and I'm sure you and Keith will have many stories to tell when you return.
catch up Hello travellers, lovely to see your asian adventure here in Brum. Not too sure of duck heads, frogs and chicken feet.
The ladies had a lunch date this week and your name was mentioned, I had meant to email / fb you.
We finish our deputy year on 19 May but Mike retains the title Lord Mayor's Deputy for life. My last duty is to the Town Hall to see the Grimesthorpe Colliery Band (with Lynda P) who were in the film Brassed Off.
How long are you away this trip? Look forward to reading your blog :)
I was on Barr Beacon this morning at 05.20 dancing and watching the sun rise!
Wow - what a holiday you are having It all sounds absolutely fascinating and the sightings of animals must be wonderful. How good to be in the heart of these communities and getting a first hand experience oftheir way of life. I am sure the rest of your holiday will match up to what you have been doing so far - hope the basictents meets approval. Enjoy it all
The metro looks incredible - beautiful pictures and they obviously dont suffer 'underground graffiti' artists. Your episode of nearly losing Keith reminded me of when I lost Nigel on a very crowded New York underground. He got off but at the wrong stop leaving me on with a very stricken face. Moscow sounds well worth a visit.
In the Moscow Metro The lack of graffiti could also have something to do with the police presence in the metro. There was often an officer or two standing observing.
Thanks for adding me to your blog - Moscow certainly looks interesting and I know Nigel would love a visit to the Metro which looks very impressive. Hope the rest of your trip goes well.
Happy Anniversary Hi Both,
Firstly: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - for tomorrow if you pick this up quickly :-)
... and thank you for your card. We will be opening cards this evening as Caro is at Burrows Lea (Harry Edwards sanctuary) all day. I did not think it worth sending you a card as I had no idea where you would be next - though I suspect a gradual move South into Germany
Looking forward to seeing you on the 11th I shall monitor the Heathrow arrivals - but if you cannot find us waiting in terminal 5 our mobile numbers are C: 07815520017; T: 07815502278.
Just one minor point: I trust neither of you are allergic to cats? Kate (current staying with us, probably until mid-September - long story) has two kittens (who are ensuring that we will be decorating and buying new soft furnishings soon!).

Volga Baltic Waterway Realized I didn't respond to this Tony. Thanks for your mobile numbers. No, we are not allergic to cats and we were in Moscow on our anniversary so you were right about not being able to reach us.
Cornish Tourist Board! Cornwall is a really beautiful place especially when the sun is shining! You have made me very envious by reading your blog - I wish I was there! You have certainly 'sold' Cornwall - I think the tourist board might be interested! Xxx
