bolivia questions Hi, I am travelling to Bolivia this summer and trying to find out about accomodation and access to the salt lakes. There are 5 of us and we have no tour, transport or hotels/hostels booked. Did you wander around and find your way through or plan it ahead?
What would you reccomend?
What time of year did you go?
The photos are magnificent and I given me much to look forward to.
Thank you!
Bushfire Visit Great pictures, great work being done at Bushfire. Gail and I visited November 2005. We still have vivid memories. I saw Gerry just befire he departed. We look forward to greeting Sam and Eva shortly at Heathrow.
"chinchillas" The picture of the chinchiila like creatures are actually called viscachas. They are a relative of chinchillas which explains the resemblance ;').
great work really liked going through the journals........actually i wanted more.......anyways hope u enjoyed out there at the queen of hills.Darjeeling is trully wonderful in every sence.
Some memories leaves golden impression. Years back I had everything including family, friends, college .love life. Now look at me I’m a professional now and I have come so afar from Darjeeling. I have nothing left of that place with me except for the little tea bud in my diary which reminds me of Darjeeling and few memories. I love that smell of the forest when you walk across the Tenzing Norgay rock. I love the feeling when the snow crackles beneath your feet. I just wanna say that nobody out here is friendly. Nobody gives me Momos, aaloo bhuja,Thukpa and that classical cup of tea.I know someday that I will be back. The tea out here sucks. Until then adios Darjeeling and Kudos to your beauty and your mountains. And mind it the photo which you see Assembly of God church School is my School and I love my school. I was a school captain out there. And thanks to people in coordination of this website. Appreciate your work with deepest gratification Neo.
i'm sorry u had some bad experiences with a handful of Aussies, but dont judge us through the rudeness of a few. I would've been happy to show u around the place, i was a courier for years in Syd and i always found the place bustling but friendly. Anyway, hope u enjoyed the sights atleast.
Lebong racecourse Thank you for the picture of Lebong racecourse. My mother was born in Lebong in 1906, 100 years ago next May. I have always wanted to go there, and plan a trip, hopefully this December, with my son. I have barely been able to find Lebong on maps before, and this is the first photo (apart from one of my mother as a babe in arms 100 years ago on the front verandah of their house) that I have seen of Lebong. Thank you.
Hi I was trying to find the Bushfire website (I finally did) but I ran across your blog in the process. My bestfriend Megan is there right now as well and it is nice to see pictures of everything there & in town that I keep hearing about. Except the spiders & mice of course.
If you are still there, give her a hug for me and take care and keep doing all the wonderfull work you guys are doing there.
I love Darjeeling. I have been all around the world and to many places but i can't get my dear Darjeeling out of my mind. i know i can hardly come back to Darjeeling now..but honestly i crave to see more photos. Good job guys...The momo...the classic taste of tea..the smell of tea gardens..my friends ...my friends..i will remember you.you deserve an appreciation. Hats off to you!!
Thank you so much Although I'm sure it's different now, your photos gave me a much needed idea of what Darjeeling looked like. My great grandfather died there in 1899 and without your pictures, it would just be another name on a map or in a book. I may never find his gravesite, but your pictures let me know how it looks. Thanks so very much!!
