Pompeii I think they should stop people from going to Pompeii! Everyone talks about how beautiful it is and i agree, but if people keep going there the city will start to fall apart and crumble from the pollution and the machines. And then we won't have the beautiful Pompeii we talk about it will just be some rocks lieing by a road.
STOP NOW!
Biskut! ZOMG those biscuit tins are EXACTLY the ones we used to have in shops when I was growing up! Don't hardly see them any more, except maybe in smaller towns. It's a simple concept - like the bulk foods section at your local grocery store. You bagged as much as you wanted.
Wrong Yes, I know that is the idea, but in reality most hotels take it when you check in, and renting a bike motorcycle they take it too. There isn't much choice.
Garret--you are awesome. I wish Suzy and I could be out there in those parts with you. maybe another time. You are missed bro and we are for sure praying for peter.

Glad to hear you've had some good down time. Sorry to hear the hawkers were too much. We had the same experience in Acapullco which really spoiled it for me. $3 dollars a day what a deal, where the bikes in good shape? Sorry to hear Asia made you feel isolated. We are looking to see you again too. Jean says Hi.
Mud Biking Sounds like the most fun a guy could have on two wheels and I assume you don't have to clean the bike afterwards (bonus). Stay safe but have fun.
You speed Freak Speed Freak huh? Just watch out for the landmines. At least underwater you can't ride a motorcycle over something that will blow you up. Have fun! You are rad!

thailand Hi Garret,
Sounds like you are having a great time! We never went to Phuket, but Railegh Beach was our fave. We went to Kao Sok but were a little turned off by the leeches. I guess we're just more beach people. Make sure and save a couple days to see Angkor...definitely the highlight!! Miss having you around. Suzy

Happy Birthday! I read somewhere that it is traditional in Finland for people to whisper "Golden Thoughts" to you on your birthday. Don't let them forget...
