Bali is famous for its wood carving. I had to give it a go too.
My my Grandmother has reminded me that it has been over a week since my last update. It hasn't really seemed pressing as I am on Bali time now. I can't believe that I leave today. The days just sped by. I met a young doctor from NY here who just finished is residency and planned on traveling and has ended up staying on this one beach for 30 days now. It really pulls you in.

I have been snorkling, parasailing, playing with monkeys, swinging on vines, surfing, and a whole lot of nothing.

I rented a motorbike for $3 a day and have been staying pretty local to Kuta beach. The traffic is pretty bad in the cities. The hawkers are pretty bad in the tourist areas with are mainly filled with Aussies and tourist form Japan. It is a pretty striking differance between the two groups.

I could write a lot more, but to tell you the truth I just don't want too. I mean come on man it is my last day in Bali, why would I want to spend it sitting in front of the computer?

I do to find some people to rent rooms in my house though, so if you know of anyone looking send them my way.

I will say that I miss you all very much and look forward to seeing you again. Asia has been tough because I don't know anyone here and it leaves one feeling isolated.

thank you to those of you that have written. I really appreciate getting word back from the states letting me know whats going on. I am sorry I haven't has time to always write back.

Bali Time
Garret Glad to hear you've had some good down time. Sorry to hear the hawkers were too much. We had the same experience in Acapullco which really spoiled it for me. $3 dollars a day what a deal, where the bikes in good shape? Sorry to hear Asia made you feel isolated. We are looking to see you again too. Jean says Hi.
