1. A short 4-day trip to Bali in Sep 19. 2. Me and my friend took plane from Kuala Lumpur with departure time 30mins apart, but i arrived 4 hours later..haha 3. Booked 2 full days tour via Klook. Costing us RM700+ which seemed to be reasonable. 4. we stayed at Vasanti Kuta, nice boutique hotel in famous Kuta area. Driving from airport to hotel takes only 10mins in moderate traffics. 5. the night went with not much activity as i was really tired. after dinner i went straight to sleep :) 6. Not such an early start this morning for us. The aforementioned heavenly beds and luxurious aircon kept us snuggled up in bed until 8am. By 8:15am I was ready to rock and roll, get busy livin', and enjoy a morning engulfed in the Bali experience. Briony was ready at 9:15am. So off we ventured, a quick trip to the beach was on the cards. The sun was beaming, and the phone stating a 30° heat. Not too shabby for monsoon season! But all too quickly this short walk turned into harassment city. Every vendor vying for us to spend our cash in their small boutique. We made it through our last night in Kuta without any more noticeable quakes. Kristy had us signed up for a morning Indonesian cooking class at Bamboo Shoots.We had a quick early breakfast before checking out and taking a grab to class. Before the start of our 9:00 class, we were offered breakfast which we turned down. There were six other students in our class. Two pairs of students were from the same small town in Australia. The other couple was from the Netherlands. On the agenda for class was: -Beef Rendang -Mie Goreng -Spring Roll -Chicken Satay (peanut sauce) -Chicken Curry -Rice Pudding We got a little instruction from the teachers and went to work. Kristy found a well-reviewed restaurant for breakfast which was between Sheraton and Four Points (our next hotel). Kristy ordered the eggs Benedict and Brad had a massive triple-decker sandwich. We shared an avocado coffee beverage as well. The meal was good and very filling. After breakfast, we checked out of the Sheraton and left our bags at the front desk. We started this day with a successful quest for a smoothie bowl. We had breakfast at Nebula.Kristy had an Acai Berry Bowl and Brad had the Healthy Bowl. Both were pretty good but left Kristy still hungry. As we walked by the street entrance to the Sheraton, we saw a sign advertising the happy hours at the hotel/pool bars. The pool bar service had 60k mojitos from noon to 8pm. We decided to take advantage and have afternoon mojitos. We settled into a pair of lounges in the sun next to the pool. We had transferred to the pool to cool off when the waiter made his rounds. Kristy ordered the Naked Mojito and Brad requested the Berry.
