Happy Easter
Hi Alan, Welcome back to Canada. Thanks for sharing all those experiences with us. It has been a very interesting read and the descriptions of all things made me feel the country and the people a little bit more. Happy Easter Alan to you and your family.

Almost as warm
Hola Allan! Your Esterhazy Cubs kicked my Yorkton Cubs to the curb at the Melville Kub Kars. It's almost as warm here as it is there (well maybe not quite) as the snow is finally melting and puddles are invading the playgrounds. Speaking of which, do they have playgrounds like ours down there? Hope your foot is all healed up!

Home from the Mam Ruins.
The journeys you are taking are as educational as your descriptions of the places that you actually reach. The travel and the people, the sights and the sounds and the smells do seem to come alive with your words. Take care Alan.

Know how you feel.
Not bieng able to communicate reminds me of trips to Chezh Republic, Mexico and Dom Republic, most people are eager to communicate and friendly. You are not missing any spring weather here.this past week it has been -24 at night and -10 in the daytime with some wind to make uncomfortable for icefishing.Just one day with no wind and it was apleasure to go fishing in the bright sun and clean air.

hi from gerald
It's good to read your news. I envy the experiences and the travel, not the scarey stuff or the health problems. Do be safe. Every time I hear about recent historical events of great importance (the problems in Guatemala in 83) I wonder where my head was when this was actually happening. We are so unaware of the plight of so much of mankind. Do I live in a self-centered box or do we just not get honest reporting to our country? A little of both, I suspect. And a new language... way to go, Al! That would be a lot of fun. Things go well here. We hope the same for you, go well, Jeannette

Hi Alan, the information is great- wish you could say the same about your foot. I was reviewing my information on feet and blisters- not that you haven't probably already done this- so Remember blisters are caused by wetness, heat, friction and fungal infection. Washing your feet every night and rubbing lightly with a terry-cloth towel, clean socks everyday with double socks if doing a considerable amount of walking, anti-fungal powders in your shoes and sandals as well as doing a doughnut type of padding around the blister may help. Still can't find the pictures on your site http://agringoduck.blogspot.com but will look forward to any disks that you can burn and bring back. Sunny and beautiful here today- I have to finish decorating a cake for my baby sister and her husband who both just turned 40 (remember when that sounded old? I can't seem to anymore!) Take care Fryor. Bonnie

March 12th 2006 - Taking care
Hi Fryor, sounds like you are absorbing much and processing it as fast as the hard drive can handle. Be sure to take care of that foot- your Scouting first aid should come in handy. Looking forward to seeing pictures now or when you return. This journal is wonderful to read. Thanks for doing it. Bonnie

Glad to here you are "finding" your way down there. Please say hi to your host family from our Scouts here in Yorkton. We've been skiing at Aesissippi yesterday and had a blast. I started my new job with First Nations Indian Health Branch in Regina - a great bunch. Love the information on this and will keep reading. Bonnie
