Welcome back... and I'm pleased you are rediscovering yourself and the inspiration that London can provide. This year is Italy for me, but next year I plan to visit the south of England from Kent to Cornwall, but mostly in Devon. It's been to long...last visit in 2010. I won't be looking for inspiration but long dead ancestors.
Solo travel I really enjoyed this blog and I look forward to more. I have always wanted to travel solo but I guess I wasn't brave enough; the only time when I was about to go to Thailand on my own, a friend joined me in the last minute. I have been traveling with my husband for years and now we have a daughter as well, so I'm not sure how I'm going to ever manage to travel on my own... but I'm sure it will happen one day!
Very nice blog... and you are right about all the reasons for traveling alone. The phrase "meet-cute" also comes up and is explained in the movie "The Holiday." I'm going to have to watch "The September Affair" if I can download it to my Kindle.
Wanderlust Really enjoyed reading your first blog and hope it is only the first of many. In our travels we have found every great city, every small town and each village has something of interest to offer. We are happiest when we don't go in with too many preconceived notions and let them expose themselves to us. We almost always find a pleasant surprise. The joys of the 1st tuk tuk ride is so amazing. As you have already learned many people are trying to sell you something and sway you but that is not to say you won't have a fantastic. Enjoy the moment. Don't plan everything. This trip has opened your eyes and made you appreciate many things. Carry on.
Hi!
I'm Kayleigh. I have a huge wanderlust list and am always on the go or am doing something interesting at weekends. Even though I've travelled a lot already (which I haven't blogged about), I am conscious of the fact that I want to do more.
I'm not like normal people. The word 'settle' scares the hell out of me and I always have itchy feet and dream big. The world is such a big place, and I am a small part of it who wants to get lost and learn something new.... full info
