Wonderful Post! Thanks so much! Great to hear and see all of this, although I'm astonished at the trouble with American Airlines, wow! Am already looking forward to the next installment. My only disappointment is that I had SO looked forward to seeing Leona bent back in Frank's arms, hair sweeping the floor, while clenching a rose in her teeth!
Thanks for the Comment Made it Igauzu this afternoon on the all night bus and going to the falls tomorrow. This a nice small town and wonderful respite from the hustle of the big city. Going tonight to look at the sunset across the river from Brazil and Paraguay
Thanks Leona and I have used this site for research on our own travels and I am glad others have have found our contributions helpful and inspiring to enjoy the travels around the world.
Frank & Leona

Ziplining Seeing would have been ok but hearing would have been hard on your ears! Got the email from Adam, so if we get some dry weather, we may have some tennis at SAC when we get back? Haven't been there since November.
Frank/Leona
hello Hi Leona & Frank, we just missed your telephone call this evening. We were over at Bill & Elaines for dinner/Bills 64th birthday. Leona your voice was very clear on the phone. Costa Rica looks wonderful. We are still getting lots of rain. Talk to you soon.

Wayne & Phyllis
Wow! You guys are impressive - hiking to the top of the volcano was awe inspiring. We've walked over old lava fields and it's no fun. Hard on the feet!
Sorry about your watches. Those guys seem to be very quick and quite good at relieving you of watches, others of cell phones, etc., etc. Guess it's a silent tariff of some type!
Don't be too hard on the policy of locals being charged lots less for access fees. In Maui if you have a card showing you're a local you get reduced prices everywhere! Seems like an international approach to rewarding locals! Haven't noticed it in the Napa Valley however. Although I guess we do get free corkage at some restaurants where we're known.
It's been rainy, rainy, rainy here. My team (Betty) has had to cancel all but one match since January 11th due to rainouts. Now that's bad. Gail's our captain and she's getting an indoctrination by rain! Some of our makeups have even been rained out.
We leave for Maui on Tuesday. Looking forward to some fun in the sun. Matt and Debby arrive on Thursday for three weeks. Lots of tennis and beach walking to look forward to.
The pictures of the lush country, huge lakes, volcano are breathtaking. Loved the colorful birds. Frank you had a lot of feathered friends lined up on your arms and shoulders. Jim would love the bird place -- he's got so many feeders in our yard that it sounds like an aviary in the mornings. If bird flu ever hits the US we'll be some of the first affected!
Continue to have a wonderful time and hold on to your valuables!
We'll be checking for more on your blog.
Betty and Jim
Hello Hi Leona & Frank, thanks for all the nice photos of your trip. Nicaragua seems very relaxing/ sorry you have to pay more for beer!!! Everything is a trade off. We are getting more rain so your ground at home should be well compacted for your new wall. Take care.

Wayne & Phyllis
Oh, my gosh, the birds are amazing. I've always loved parrots and their relatives. It must have been an extraordinary experience.
And I think that funny little animal is a cavy, related to guinea pigs and capybaras......am I smarter than a 3rd grader?
hugs,
s.
Loved the Chicken bus picture. Does it not appear that the more poor a people are, the more colorful they become?
Also, the lakes and rivers appear to be extraordinarily beautiful! But, be careful not to bring home some bizarre water-borne parasite.
trip Hi Leona & Frank, looks like you are seeing some beautiful country--lakes & all. Also looks like you are pretty close to Belize? We are getting lots of rain here, sun did come out for alittle bit this afternoon. Sorry to hear about you time pieces......
Love,
Wayne & Phyllis
Its a small world full of different interesting cultures, languages and history. So we are taking time to visit and check it out
