Looking Good Besides your typical Irish cusine, have been suprised by the number of different ethnic restarants including Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai.
Knew you had to be off travelin’ Hi,
Good to hear from you. Enjoyed the great description of your travels and the sites you visited. Our big trip will be to Oregon soon for Mike’s youngest daughter’s wedding. Enjoyed the pictures - the “hiker” looked very familiar. Take care, have fun. Talk soon. Betty and Jim
Thanks for Thinkinf of us:) Actually it sounds like you had a really nice trip, despite Covid interfering with Europe. The South gets a bad rap but there are a lot of beautiful places and history and most of us don't take advantage of it. Your description of the scenery and meals makes me almost want to leave Home Depot and go somewhere. I've always thought those of us on the West Coast have a very shallow knowledge and connection with our country. Good for you guys! Did you drive the R9 or the turbo golf cart? :) Thanks again for the update-R
Thanks Thought about taking the R8, but a boring drive on I75 would not have done it justice. I believe that what a lot of Australians do after high school of taking out of country trip allows them to have better perspective of the world .
I personaly love your pages a lot of info. If anyone goes in the Caribbean here is a great site I found with listing of all Caribbean-Newspapers.com
http://caribbean-newspapers.com , Magazines etc. Very Cool stuff.
Nicest towns missed Bariloche environment is beautiful, but not the city. The jewel city of Patagonia is San Martin de los Andes, or maybe Villa La Angostura (both lake cities near of Bariloche).
Sad that not many tourists know that. They also misses the beautiful forest-cities on the coast of Buenos Aires: Costa del Este (not to be confused with Punta del Este on Uruguay), Valeria del Mar, Mar de las Pampas, Cariló. These are cities made in the forest, at the beach. Trees are protected to the point that some houses are built around the trees. Holes are made on floors and roofs to avoid interference with trees, and houses have no fences, making possible to walk between gardens (not all the cities allow walking between gardens).
Malbec? I think we have had some Malbec almost every day for the last couple of weeks! A lot of beef as well. I understand the beef is grass fed and slaughtered at a younger age than in the US. It does seem leaner.
Winery day What beautiful scenery of the mountains. What on earth were the delicacies on the plates???
Appears you're having a wonderful time. Good for you!
Hello Karen & Luis We are currently in Bariloche. Ruca Malen and the lunch were beautiful. The one was a squash ravioli and the glass plate was a goumet version of locro. Having a great time but missing banging some balls on the tennis court!
Chocolate Hello from Bariloche! This area is in northern Patigonia and has a German Swiss influence. So as well as parillas, it has chocolate stores everywhere. Not a bad way to go - bife de lomo and chocolate!
Trip Hi Leona & Frank, sounds like you guys are having a blast!!! The pictures you have posted are beautiful.
Keep the pictures coming!!
