Oh Poo...
Hmmm hope you get better soon, at least if they can work out what it is tehy might be able to get you back and trapping monkeys, that does sound very exciting... although as I am currently working my way through about 100 papers to read even the data entry sounds good ;o) Hope you have a great time with your Mum and get well soon. It is being very nice and sunny (read I may wander off and sit on the Meadows and read my papers) odd to think a week and a half ago we had snow and Sunday afternoon we were having a BBQ on the Meadows! Even stranger is it's been 6 months since we got married o_0 doesn't seem that long at all, though we will defiatly have to meet up when you are back! *huge get well hugs* xXx Lizzie

What am I letting myself in for?!!!
First time you have mentioned 3-eyed monsters in the jungle to me! Anyway can't wait to see you again, with or without, parasites. Makes me feel like a very intrepid traveller. xxxxx

Hope you get well soon Emma, however the jungle experiences sound as fantastic as ever!

Poor Emma, You really have had a rough time. I hope the monkeys are making up for it! Hope the parasite news is good and that you have a lovely time with your Mum!

Ooooh Catan! I'll swap you two sheep for a brick... ;o) Hope your bot flies are out soon! Sounds like more exciting advetures... it is slowly turning to spring here, light when I leave work (well when I do it before 8 it is...) and it has been t-shirt weather for me for about a month (no one has started joining me yet but it hasn't snowed in over a month so it must be warm!) Have Fun! xXx Lizzie

Sounds like you're having a great, if bot infested, time. Keep enjoying it all!

Now you see that is why you need an imaginary friend - among others I have a labrador who is most useful when I get it into my head that between the big bins at the end of our road, or in the little grassy bit there, there is someone hiding, waiting to attack me... the logical bit of my brain is always rooting around at the back in a book. But it gives you something to blame the noises on, something to put some of your imagination to use and well... it's nice not being on your own... if you don't fancy a dog you can take me to, but you'll have to tell me what all the plants are called :o) *huge hugs* Lizzie

Poor you!
Hi emma! Poor you all that wildlife sounds like a nightmare especially the snake! I wouldn't have lasted five minutes and think you're incredibly brave! Hope your feet are feeling a bit better now? It was nice to see your mum and jackie the other week and have an update on how you're doing. I hope the wildlife and weather will start to behave itself soon and that life will get a bit easier. Take care of yourself. We are thinking of you lots . Lots of love Rosie xxxxx
6th February 2010

Sounds like your imagination is working against you, brave to go into the jungle alone! Keep chasing those monkeys.
6th February 2010

You are so brave!!!
EEK! Just reading about jungle crawly-things makes me anxious! You're such a superhero. - xx your american badminton pal.

Mmmm foreign objects...

Should it be bambology
I think 'bambology' could become a science and even a medical science. How long can one centimetre bamboo spike can live in a human being especially if this person is a vegetarian? We will never know as the op took place and the spike died of a sudden death. It's probably better Emma if you occasionally faint. This way you miss some of the horrible sights you may not enjoy too much such as giant ant etc.... Enjoy yourself and have a very good time. Jackie

Hehe see why read trachy novels when there is incest in every tree ;o) I am so glad your feet are better, long may they walk happily with you... The boat sounds exciting, or rather *exciting* I am a terrible one for things shaking (my first attempts at propelling a punt were fine until some tourists crashed into us (I just curled up and twitched) and I got cramp in my toes from trying to cling on... ratehr like Guide camp canoeing trips.. only drier :o) All the best, lots of love Lizzie xXx

Don't worry, it's not wimpy to take the proper time to recover from something like that. It takes more courage to accept it now than trying to fight it and ending up missing even more time in the forest. Hope the swelling goes away soon tho! The storms at night sound fun, shame about the subsequent slippery slopes. Great that you are already following the monkeys!
