Last weeks Hi Both
Heather tells me that you will be home in five weeks time - cannot guess how strange that must seem to you both. Hope you have a fantastic time and are ready to come home when the time comes. Have had time to catch up - was worried I had lost contact but glad to know not our fault re servers etc! Loved all the photos etc. Last entry I have is June 24th -is this the missing one? Stay safe.
Do hope you both had a lovely time with your Mums - I guess they are both back in UK to watch the rain fall and parts of the country especially Yorkshire down through Lincolnshire, the West Midlands, Gloucester, Herefordshire and Worcester become wetter and wetter with massive flooding esp as the main rivers get beyond coping point. London is suffering as the Thames is having to carry a lot of the midlands water away. Devastating stories, road problems etc. What a lovely summer we are having but am assured it has been worse in prvevious times! Still, stiff British upper lip and all that to say we are having a lovely time paddling on the recreation ground!!
Take care and enjoy last weeks of trip. - Dorothy
Asia Good article Ellie. Funny to read about wee places where I'd been as well - Don Det, Ko Taratao, Sipadan. Thought Borneo was great.
Hope you're enjoying Perth, although I think it'll get a bit small after a while. Still working at Subiaco? Get yourselves to Melbourne for work.
Mark seemed to be wearing a wedding ring in one of the pictures? Something we should know?
Anyway, take care and enjoy the rest of your travels,
Scott
WOW!! Hi, I saw some bad comments about the "Tiger temple", but with your blog I still stick to the fact it seems fab!!
We will be there with my husband in May... (only one month to go now) and we hope can get the same pictures than you!!!
Thanks for your blog and the photos...
Bye
Tigers an' all Finally sat down and caught up with all your travel writings - you really are having an amazing time. Loved the tigers behaving like dogs and walking on leads - being a dog loving family our saying is 'cats are pants - dogs are best'! Found the descriptions of what you saw in Vietnam and Cambodia during the wars and Pol Pot regimes - must have been incredibly moving. I sometimes think that if all those planning a war saw those sights whether or not they would actually bother to go ahead. Anyway - carry on enjoying your trip and take care of one another. Love Dorothy
Lively laos Some day you might look to pick up Brett Dakin's "Another Quiet American" -- a memoir of this recent US college grad's stint at the Laos National Travel Authority in Vientiene. Not exactly a gem of a text, but worth a look since you've been there.
Kate and I are still not sure how many day's we'll be in Laos as Luang Phrabang is taking several days to soak in. Unforutnately, someone stole one of our rental bikes today from outside the Red Cross. Nasty wee pilferer! Makes L.P. seem that much less inviting. I do plan to go back to tonight for my massage.
Illness Just to say so sorry that M has been unwell. Scary stuff but so pleased nothing too serious. I can imagine nothing worse than being in foreigh hospital even if just for a check up. Take care and hope you are A1 health again by time you get this.
Awrite team,
Just read up to here in a wanner from the start (admittedly skipping a lot). Looks like you had a much better time than your Kevin the Teenager "this is pish" e-mails would have us believe, Mr Meaty Breath.
Sent you an e-mail re. Oz, but you blanked it as per. Let me know your plans
