Smiling Back Hey you two, so good to see such positive reviews. Many of us West Coasters dream of traveling across our wonderful country. You are living the dream. Someday I look forward to following your trail....good, the bad and the ugly... Can't believe you are already in Winnipeg....oh yes, Winnie the Pooh came from there as well :) Keep on trucking. Until the next post, Su....Hugs
From the McClellands Down Under What a great weekend you had with your family. First time for years I've seen pictures of Berny, Don, and Barry. They were only 20 somethings when I last saw them. Berny looks well. If I recall correctly Aaron was just a baby last time I saw him in 1976. He was following you around the house yelling Eileen Eileen. Memories!!!!! Brittany was expecting her first when we visited in 2012. We have a bean bag game as well. We haul it out at all family functions. Brother Jim got the dimensions from your dad and it has now found it's way down under. I have had many people come up and ask if they can take photos of it when we've played the game at the local park at the beach. Yummmm the Saskatoons--- remember going with G&G Gellings to the Red Deer River to pick them. Think I've worked out what I was doing wrong in responding to your blogs. Will know if you respond to this one.
Good Memories Indeed I didn't realize how long it had been since you saw everyone. I remember that when we picked saskatoons with Grandma and we were out of sight for too long, she would sing "woo hoo" until we sang it back. Glad to hear that the bean bag game is s hit down under too!
From the McClellands Down Under Loved the picture of you Mom and Dad. So many good memories looking at that picture. Our moms must have had the same recipe for cinnamon buns. I was always asking her to make a batch. When I was young and silly I discovered a hidden batch in the basement deep freeze. Helped myself to one every few days, munching secretly in the dark of the coal room. Never thought of the consequences coming until she had visitors and went to retrieve them. Strangely she headed for me first. Not a pretty sight---that black strap.
From the McClellands Down Under Hi Eileen. been sending comments on your blogs entry, but me thinks you are not receiving them as they don't turn up on the comments page. Are you receiving?
Got it Hi Stuart. I got your first comment a couple of weeks ago and now this one. I'm so disappointed that I've not received the others. Please keep trying!

Same title, different movie Week-end at Bernies the movie was funny. Your title reminded me of that movie, and as I was reading the blog and you said you came across a copse of berries I read corpse.. Thankfully not quite true..

Pungent then poignant Sounds like you had a fun time at Bobtail Lake, even with the mishaps. Obviously you loved and were well loved by your Mom & Dad. That's what makes the memories special and why it is important to remember those precious times. Take care.
