Now that we are home I thought I had better catch up the last few days of the trip. Unfortunately the wifi connections were not that good towards the end of the trip. After we left Sevilla, we headed for Granada. We stopped and spent part of the day in Cordoba and visited the Mezquita. La Mezquita is the worlds third largest mosque and is a fantastic place. Although it has officially been a Christian site for almost 9 centuries, its identity as a mosque is inescapable. The mosque was begun by Caliph Abd el Rahman I in 786 AD. Greetings from Barcelona! It has been quite a trip. We had no Internet the other day and last night we took a train from Granada to Barcelona. Sleepers were very small and very hot. I just want to sit in the sun by the water and enjoy myself. It is going to be a ... read more

Another beautiful day in Spain. Today we explored Seville. We did a quick bus tour of some of the buildings from the 1929 Expo which took place here in Seville. We then visited the bull ring, the Alcazar and the Cathedral. After all of that we had the rest of the day free. Some of the group decided to visit some Roman ruins outside the city. Kari, Tony, Ariel and I decided we wanted to explore Seville and shop. I got some fantastic shopping in. I am having the stuff shipped and they told me it will be there in two days. So Jerry expect a package soon!! Weather held for us today and we had lots of sunshine. We ended the day with a horse carriage ride to some of the main monuments. I will ... read more

I am hoping to do a travel blog on our trip to Spain. We leave tomorrow night. Ariel turned 18 today and so she will be an "adult" on this trip. I thought I should invite all of you and see if I can get this going correctly. I will really miss Kathleen on this trip as she is the "Blog Queen". She did a great one on our recent trip to Rome. Edie... read more
