An impressive adventure! So glad it all went well. Sounds exhausting but very interesting. A bit warmer than we are experiencing at the moment!
These comments from one who has just 'done' New York in 72 hours. Hectic but very rewarding. and all without shopping! Just glad we did it when we did - over Thanksgiving - this last week would have been a different matter travel-wise. See you soon - replacement boiler permitting.

Dolphins How incredible!! What beautiful creatures! I think you should publish some of the pictures - indeed why not write the book and include the photos? You should contact the New Zealand Tourist Board asap!
Welcome home Mary and Duncan Welcome home. You sound as if you had an amazing time. I have meant to read your log as you wrote it but life seems to have been busier than ever. Will give you time to recover and then give you a ring. Love Anne x
Thanks, Sue We did get your earlier message, and were much encouraged by it. It's great being able to keep in touch with you and our other friends. We hope you'll continue looking at the blog from time to time. When we get back to UK we'll get in touch and catch up with your news.

To Sarah A gizmo is a thing you put your camera memory card into - I've now found some FREE Internet use at the Novotel in Rotorua, so I might try the gizmo here
River jumping Now that's a good idea! This would get rid of some of their energy on the way home from school! I will send the boys over and Caroline might join them if she can hang around for long enough.
Catching up with your adventures Hi, here we are at last, just caught up with your blog. Had a little trouble with the new laptop! Sounds like you are having fun despite the minor injuries. (Remember you promised to take care of my sister, Duncan) Did you say you will pay for us to come to see the 'perfect house'? Sounds wonderful, of course we would come. It's SOoooo cold here spare us a thought occasionally. Till next time, loads of love to you both
Perfect home Just buy it Duncan and we will come and visit. Following your blog and enjoying all your adventures Snow forcast yet again for this week so spare a thought for your frozen friends back in Scotland
I'm exhausted just reading........ At last have had time to catch up with all your news. I'm exhausted just reading about your antics ! Sounds like a super trip and hope it continues as such. Hope injuries all healed and you have time to watch the grass ( or whatever is more appropriate depending on where you are) grow. Best wishes form the deepest New Forest.
Fish! Well personally I love red snapper (restaurant in Putney) and freshly caught Norwegian salmon served in a roll in the open air in Bergen. I would happily try blue nose fish(!) in the Bay of Islands!
The Cheeky Macaques Enjoy the beach party! Don't get conned again.. Hope your feet recover soon. Make sure you're a little wary of those macaques, especially when accompanied by offspring - as can be a little unpredictable...
