It just keeps getting better and better! It just keeps getting better and better!! Athens, Istanbul, Egypt and now Bangkok?? You can't get much better than that... I'm now really really hankering for some Thai food too!!! Have fun and keep the stories coming. Absolutely Incredible - what an experience!
you ain't in Kansas, are you? Wow! Following your trip has been a real reminder of how vast and diverse the world is, and how little of it most of us see. The architecture alone is facinating!
Y'all have fun down under. I suppose it'll be nice to go where they speak English for a change.
We did dinner at my house agian last night, but I'm still refusing to call it a tradition - I called it a coincidence.
Love!
I'm enjoying traveling around the world with you. The pictures are great. I can't wait to read all about your next adventure. Lori's 40th birthday bar crawl is tomorrow night. We'll have a Bud Light for you and Doug. Take care.
Look great on a camel What an experience you guys are having. I can hardly wait from one journel to the next. The pictures are great. The way gas prices are here, maybe you can bring back a camel, you look as you are comfortable on your new ride.
Amazing is the word for Istanbul! I was just now able to open the blog for Athens - had some trouble in days prior. Awesome as well. You are both excellent writers and photographers - thank you! Glad you survived the Turkish bath!
What a great trip Thanks for all the pictures, it's been great seeing all the places you've been. I'm definitely jealous seeing these pictures of Egypt, it's one of the places I've always wanted to visit, really makes me want to go, I'll just have to watch out for those all-inclusive ads.
That palace sounds amazing. A 12 ton chandelier is definitely more extravagant than anything I've seen. The pictures are beautiful and the bazaar sounds very cool. Looking forward to hearing about Egypt. Thanks for keeping this up.
Halusky Traveled throughout Slovakia this summer. Had the Halusky Bryndzove in Banska Stiavnica - you were right - it was the best! But, at first, I didn't quite know what to do with such a large spoon...
I'm hoping for Greece to be my next big adventure. Its really cool to see your pictures. I've heard pretty negative things about Athens so you'll have to fill me in a lot more when you get back. Thanks for the updates.
Keep it coming... Hi Mary and Doug! I love your commentary and pictures. Thanks for sharing them....keep posting (and don't make them shorter please... they are fun to read). I'll be interested to hear what you think of Greece!
Safe travels,
Jen
Bellisimo! Hi Doug. Just practicing my Italian so I can hopefully do a "trek" to Italy sometime soon. Your pictures, comments and reviews are great. Keep them coming.
Budding Travel Writer This has to be better than any travel articles I've read in the AJC. Both of you rock. I'm really inspired to get my lazy but on a plane now. Please make them as long as you can. It's captivating and honest! Take care -- Moe
YUM! I am glad I was eating lunch as I read your entry, Mary. Your food descriptions (not to mention the pictures) really make me hungry!
I'm big on family history, too, but my ancestors have been in America since God was a boy. How cool to be able to visit the countries where your grandparents grew up and see/eat all the things they told you about over the years!
I'm looking forward to hearing about your upcoming adventures - y'all take care of one another.
great photes Hi Doug,
Sound and looks like you are seeing a lot of really neat places as well as eating and drinking lots of good stuff. I enjoy seeing and hearing about all your travels. Love you,
What history you must be seeing! Hey Doug and Mary.. Hope you are having a blast!! Doug, not a day goes by we are not thinking of you. The pictures are beautiful. We can't wait for you to get home to show us the rest of the pics. Have fun!!
Wow, thanks for taking the time to write all that out. I loved it and wouldn't want it any shorter. Keeps me entertained at work! Great pictures, yet another place I have to get to soon. Sounds like you're having a blast.
October 2nd 2005 We have enjoyed reading about the places you have visited and seeing the pictures. It makes us feel as if we are with you - just wish we were. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
Love the updates We look forward to the pictures and updates with the comments on food and beverages. You are doing a wonderful job making us feel as we are taking the trip along with you.

David
I'll just look at the pics of Budapest then... Mary - sounds like Budapest certaily didn't live up to expectations so I'm just going to look at the pics and imagine how nice of an experience it "could" have been!! The pics are gorgeous and the food looks scrumptious... Have fun in Bratislava
Wait! I wasn't finished!
Sorry the people were mean in Budapest. It sure looks like a pretty place, but pretty is as pretty does, I suppose.
Did you eat that whole thing?!?
