Living the Life Wow, what a great trip especially the airline part. In spite of the drastic time and date change you can arrive rested and ready to see the area. Great blog with attention to detail that takes us with you into this amazing place.
Glad you're safely home from your AMAZING trip with lots of GREAT memories! And so glad you shared it all so well in your blogs! Too bad about the CDG airport nightmare but, thankfully, ALL's WELL THAT ENDS WELL!! CIAO!!
Loving it! When U Mike & I took our Grecian Isle cruise last year, the last port was Naples & we had booked an all-day shore excursion to Capri. Sadly, U Mike got sick (bronchitis that eventually turned into pneumonia after we got back home), so we couldn't go. Luckily, we had already been to Capri several years earlier, so we weren't TOTALLY devastated. But your blog & pictures are letting me visit vicariously -- just like I did when Mike & Laura posted their honeymoon pictures almost 2 years ago. So lovely!!
Yay! You found Nemo! So glad you got to dive the Great Barrier Reef! Too bad the water wasn't as clear as it could be :( Sounds like you had a great month altogether--learning, playing, seeing new things. Can't wait to see you. Love you.
Hello from across the world! What a fantastic experience you're having! And you're blogging about it & photographing it so well! Love you!!! Continue to enjoy it!!
Living La Dolce Vita Glad to hear you're learning a lot there AND having fun. I wonder, did anyone research the number of skin cancers there compared to, say, Miami or Arizona or Sicily or Costa del Sol in Spain, just to name a few other sunny places. Love the saltwater pool with fish at the Marriott. How fun is that! I guess you found Nemo AND Dory. (She's getting own movie soon.) Have fun and keep the blogs coming! Great travelogue and pics. Love you.
Beautiful place Great blog. Interesting to see how different countries provide education for their doctors. Love the scenery. Hope the birds don't take the food while you're still eating like our seagulls. You mentioned that all the stores closed at 5 pm and later you mentioned that Brisbane is mostly a business area. I think that's why. In the Wallstreet area in NYC all the stores close when the officeds close. It's like a ghost town in the evening. Sounds like the same thing.
Liking Australia Too bad we can't hear the accents in the blog! Love the beautiful pics. Great to read about your adventures. Just found this blog today (11/5). I was looking for additions to your previous blog. Didn't know they would all be separate. So thanks for the fb heads up to look for Surfing the Gold Coast. Enjoy the adventure. Love you.
Wish I was There Hi Nic, love the blog and wish I was there. Australia has been a place we have wanted to travel to for a long time but just can't find the time. I am enjoying your blog and living Australia through you. It's even better that you have a local guide. Enjoy your adventure and have fun! I have also tried vegemite and agree that it is awful.
Hey Nic,
SOOOOOO jealous of your trip! Looks like you're having fun. I have tried vegemite and agree, NO ONE needs to try or want to try it. Enjoy the Aussies and their accents. If you can, bring a few home for us single ladies, hahaha...Looking forward to hearing the rest.
Ladies in paradise Sounds like a wonderful start to your trip except for the Jetstar hassle. They should fire that guy. In the states it's actually illegal to apply the law differently. If they weigh bags they have to weigh all, not select whoever they want to hassle. But the Hawaii part sounded wonderful and the pictures are awesome. Hope the rest of the Australia part makes up for the bad start. Looking forward to more pics and news. Enjoy!
Fun blog! I was looking for huayna Picchu information and ended up randomly in your blog. Super fun to read and kind of addicting haha. I just wanted to tell you that the alpaca kaboop wasn't alpaca. They are called Anticuchos and are made out of cow's heart
norways steepest road norways steepest road is not Stalheimskleiva. It is only 20% and the road up to Herdalssætra is 22% at its steepest and the longest sretch is just over 1km at 22%. This is not ment to take away the beauty of Stalheimskleiva as I love to drive this road.
Herdalssætra is totaly difrent with goats and sheep where they still make brown cheese the old way. I have been both places about 5 times and they are so difrent you cant say one is beter than the other.

I'm always amazed at how you can create a really interesting blog by detailing how stifled & bored you are! Your patience, endurance & creativity are astounding. So glad you're in the home stretch! Can't wait to read your next blog & I can't wait to see & hug you!
When I was active duty Navy, I had many travel adventures. Now that I'm reserves and living the semi-civilian life, I hope to have many more!... full info

Sounds more primitive than I thought it would be. Great adventure!
Almost as "different" as my trip to Indonesia! Also not AC and very hot!
