Monday, November 19, 2007 Hangzhou to Xiamen with a little in between. China is quite an interesting place. I'm glad I get to experience it for the length of time to work and explore. For the mos part, foreigners come here to work moreso then for a holiday, but if you do want to have a holiday into a country unknown , you come here because your dollar will go along way despite the ever declining rate. With that being said, I want to catch up from the last time I wrote my blog. I think I left off about partying at a great club called SOS and the first day of the series. I believe it 3-4 days ago. Since then, alot has happened. The sight seeing around Hangzhou was limited because of our schedule ... read more

Wednesday, November 14, 2007 ?? ? 4 (china diaries 4) Category: Travel and Places They say Hangzhou is the most beautiful place in China, although I haven't been to other places apart from Beijing, my experience here has been nothing lower then that standard or expectation. West Lake...........The last that I left off, I said we took a trip to the lake and I was to write about it after I got some sleep. Well, apart from the constant gloom of the weather, it's an absolute serene scene to see this peacefully large lake that Hangzhou resides around. We took a boat around to observe the sites around the lake, it was and is such a drastic change from Beijing. There are some nice parts of Beijing, but the area we were in was mediocre. ... read more

Monday, November 12, 2007 China Diaries 3 Great Wall and beyond Hello! The last place I left off is when it was Sunday morning, the day of the competition and the ever so awesome breakfast they serve at the hotel. Much has happened since then.......... Sunday afternoon, the American and Chinese drifters competed with a mediocre crowd. The funniest part about the day was the organizers threw us on the middle of the asphalft during break time to entertain the crowd, but we really didn't know what to do, so we just decided to dance around doing the tootsie, electric slide, MC Hammer dance.....and the crowd loved it! Once the competition was over we took alot of photos for press and then headed off to dinner. The one thing that's cool here in China is ... read more

Friday, November 09, 2007 China Diaries 2 Ni Hao Ma!!! So it's 7:23 am here in Beijing and I'm about to eat some breakfast. The last 2 days were cool, Thursday morning a few of the girls and I wandered about outside our hotel to the chaotic streets of Beijing. We are staying at a hotel near a busy hustle and bustle area where people are running around with sweet potatoes, selling stuff cooked on top of a trash can fire, there's these little buggies that are made on top of trycycle bikes that are used as taxis which are hilarious. We definitely stood out like a soar thumb. We went to a shopping centre which had a McDonalds there and funny enough in the McDonalds eating area, they have a private conference room. As we ... read more

Wednesday, November 07, 2007 China Diaries Well I'm here in Beijing, China. It's my first trip to China and I'm quite excited to be here though it's another asian country. I flew with a group of Drifters and other models from LAX, some that have never flown out of the country before and it clearly showed. It was a long haul on Korean Air, the flight wasn't too bad. It's been alllloooonnng time since I've flown economy and I must say that Korean Air's economy class is by far the best! If anyone ever decides to fly overseas, I recommend Korean Air. I showed up to LAX not really knowing anyone I was travelling with which is fine considering I've travelled alot on my own before. Everyone is pretty cool, but like I said there are ... read more
