Galicia Hi Delaine,
It is fun following your trip. My daughter spent 3 months in Galicia when she was in college (Santiago De Compestela ). My husband and I visited her there and drove all across Spain from Barcelona to Santiago through a lot of those little towns. You are right there is nothing there but the greenness and cool temperatures were such a surprise after the hot mesas in the middle of the country.
Thank you for your kind note. I don't have any plans to visit FL but if I do I'll give you a call when I get to Fred's.

And those of us in Paris, Thornburgs and Jones, our highlights of today were Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame, which coincidentally celebrates its 800 year anniversary tomorrow, Nov 1, which is also a religious holiday, no school, etc. In the evening, we had our celebratory drinks.
Paris The Thornburgs and Jones went off to Paris via Chunnel. Walked around the ever-fascinating CHamps d'Elysee. Looked at renaults and ate Haagen-daz.
Done that- not again Hi Delaine,
So glad you got to make your trip. It sounds delightful so far. I especially liked that you had so much fun on 'The Eye'. It's good you can relax after all the stress you were under for so long. Did you fly BA? I flew them once (economy) on my way to Ireland(2005) and it was the worst flight I've ever experienced- I mean EVER!!!. Glad you got out of NYC when you did as a few days later you would have been stuck in NYC for days.
I used to have a 2nd cousin who lived in Cardiff (she probably still does). We were penpals when we were in high school 50 years ago. The relationship stopped as we got a bit older and had other interests.
Keep writing.

Trip Thank you for the comments. I actually took American Airlines and used points to fly 1st class. Seats fold out into full length bed so I was rested when I arrived. It has been cold here for a Floridian. Fortunately, I've never had many problems with American unless it was mechanical or weather, which could happen to any of them.
Yeah for Z-pacs Hi Delaine, I've enjoyed reading your blogs. Sorry you are ill. I AWAYS travel with at least one Z-pac of anti-biotics, Cipro and a few other RXs. Pharmarcies differ all over the world. In some places you can get what we need Rxs for over the counter. In Europe most over the counter stuff that we have is impossible to find. I couldn't even get Tylenol when I was in FLorence one time. I had to get a very expensive 12 pack of something like it. I went through in in 2 days and was back getting more. There are no such places as Walgreens. I pretty much pack a small pharmarcy with me. Good idea to go to the ship's doctor.

penguins I love penguins! I can't wait to see the paintings and hear the secrets to a flatter stomach! By chance was a nightly pint of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough one of the secrets? If so, I should have a flatter stomach in no time! ;-)
