A Murder of Crows Great picture of the crows, (actually some great pictures all in) nature is amazing but it does have its cruel points.
Take Care guys!

A different sort of monthly bonus! A different sort of monthly bonus!
Hi Alex, great to hear from you. So it's another end of an era with OOH finishing then. Things just won't seem the same will they. No more calls at 3 in the morning, whatever will I do when I'm home! Luckily we're on a different sort of monthly bonus out here and yes we did get to see the Cyclone Tracy display and the brilliant museum - amazing that it's free!!! Have a read of the Step back in Time blog, it might give you some memories.
Sar and Dar
Enjoy WA! Did you make it to the cyclone Tracy exhibit in the musuem in Darwin btw?
I have the last ever OOH next week :(((( No more bonuses in my monthly salary, gutted...
Charlie "The Bull" We think you are right about Charlie, we failed to look for him too as someone told us he died but we did not know he was stuffed. We watched Crocodile Dundee a couple of nights ago as we were so keen on seeing a place or two that we have been, we recognied Ubir and the view over Arnham Land...... and of course we saw Dundee's trick on Charlie (RIP).... Andy looked up on the internet about Charlie and it does confirm somewhere that he is stuffed and in AdelaideRiver....
We have been on the Kuranda Scenic Railway today, what a great day out we had!!!

Third time's a charm! Hi Darryl and Sarah,
Thanks for the message on our blog, we've read your's too and we're very proud to be mentioned on a other blog and specially on a blog that looks so proffesional.
See you at the next highlight on the Westcoast.
Frank & Wendy
I knew you'd get it! Spot on chick, bit of 'Pretty Woman' there just for you! Yes, very gutted about Mr Swayze - a revival of Dirty Dancing is surely on the cards and not before time. Nobody puts baby in the corner!
Aus definately not the place for you, just got back from the loo and there's a big cane t**d in there - urrgggghhhhhhh! Gross!!
Love from both of us

Wow! Now look chick, you know that you can stick your bugs, frogs, creepy crawlies, crocs and bat poo where the sun don't shine but show me a stunning sunset and awesome waterfalls and now I'm jealous! And is that a little quote from Pretty Woman that you slipped in yesterday's blog - nice touch! Shame we lost Mr Swayze last week, we will have to have a Dirty Dancing do when your home. Lots of love xxxx
Work -update Not a lot happening ;-)
Oracle 11 upgrade for Calidus imminent.
2nd line going 24/7 (no OOH) & AMT go "On Call" 3rd Oct.
Aurora 2.3 upgrade due early Nov.
Usual support hassles, including Brains & Greene King.
Any openings for Application Managers down there? lol
A bit of culture! Let us know if Sydney, with a Y from Cairns, would like reading material that's a bit more cultured than Bill Bryson. He might like something by Charles Darwin or David Attenborough for instance. xxx Mum K
Bloggers! Hi guys, thanks so much for the link to your blog. We've looked at it and it's great. It will be a great help to us on our journey. We've had such a great time going through Kakadu, just as you said we would too.
Have fun on your travels, we'll be watching!

Off roading rules! Hi guys, how are you all? Hope everyone is well back 'home' in Melbourne. We're missing the visits to the footie and the ladies nights, that's so much fun!
We're loving our adventure and since we've spent the last 9 days chilling a bit in Darwin we feel refreshed and ready for the adventure of WA! More walks and climbing about for us and a few more dirt tracks for the car!
Great to hear from you, take care and see you when we get back!

ISA savings account Hi ya Rita, thanks so much for your lovely messages - you do make us laugh you crazy lady! We're in a complete news vacum so it's great to hear what you lot have been up too. Send us a photo of the car if you can, would be fab to see it with the new paint job.
Take care lovely and give everyone a huge hug from both of us

I need a good hairdresser, how much to fly you out?! Hello lovely, Mum just told me that you didn't get the reply I'd sent to your message so hopefully this one will get to you!
Great to hear from you, I did get my hair cut yesterday at The Shearing Shed (it's the salon name!) and they've got a snake (alive) in a tank in the shop! Maybe you could think about having one installed so I feel more at home when I get back!!!
How's the girls, hope they're both well.
Mum and Dad are doing really well with the garden, it's amazing what they've done and we've not been gone 5 months!!!
Thanks so much for the message, it's great to hear from you - I think of you everytime I look at the state of my hair when it's grown too long and the colour needs sorting! It's pretty much blonde again though thanks to the sun!!!!
Take care chick, love to all, Sar x x x x
G'day! Hi Mags, how great to hear from you. Glad that all is well in Culcavy, we think of you guys often - although we weren't there for long we really did enjoy it.
The travels are going well and it's really great that you've had a look at the blog, thanks for doing that and thanks for getting in touch - it keeps us sane as we're in a bit of a communication bubble at times!!!
Give our best to anyone who remembers us

You remembered! Hi Kari, brilliant to hear from you and we really hope you had a great time - it looked like you would. I'll email the pics to you in a short while. Take care and hello to the other 9!!

Is it really fair I thought the Picture of Sydney with a Y from Cairns with your Car was a little insensitive, you know he hates cars after his family were all run over.
Shame on you, Poor Sydney, he looks so sad.
Hi again! Wow, it looks as if you're trip is great! We met you at the top of Gonum, so would be superb if you could email me the pictures you took for us there?
Our trip was too short, only ten days! But still, an exciting adventure! Hopefully the year in Sydney will bring more trips and fairytales like the marvellous Kakadu=)
Kind regards,
Kari (the norwegian girl)
I'm so glad you said that! I was a bit hot and humid this morning when I did the upload, missed the date so thank you for that!
Sydney with a Y from Cairns is very well although he threw a hissy fit earlier, tell you about it later!

Hi Guys As I am editor in Chief for Kangaroojacks blogs site (No not really I wish I was) I have noticed that the blog date may be incorrect shouldn't it be 15th September.
The Spider is a Golden Orb, if you didn't know.
Hope Sydney with a Y from Carins, is behaving himself.

Monster Croc! So that huge crocodile has not been caught yet!! He (or she I suppose) was lurking around when we were in Darwin, causing a bit of a nuisance, made headline in the Territory News.
I try to let Andy go first when we walk... tee hee.... that way if there is a cobweb across the track then he gets it instead of me... but actually he grew wise to that!! Happy Travels and enjoy your rest. KJ xx
I missed the Pillow Singe incident from the blog! You're right, it's missing from the blog!
We were trying to think back to when it happened and can remember mentioning it to Tony & Jane so that would mean it happened in Alice we think! It was one of the rare occasions when I'd gone to bed before Dar and switched his bed side light on for him then moved his pillow because the light hangs stupidly low over the bed and obviously light bulbs get hot! Well, it seemed I wasn't quick enough to move the pillow because although I didn't realise at the time it had infact caught alight in the nano second that the pillow was underneath it. Dar realised before he got in bed that it had burned a hole through the pillow case and into the pillow!!
Thus, the bedsight lights have to go!
Nothing to worry about though, all is good!!!!

Just Hanging Around! You may have spiders with big eyes but here at Moira we have plenty of our own very large specimens to deal with and unfortunately our very own Tiger Lily seems to have absolutely no interest in helping to keep the population down! xxx Mum K
Wonderful place that is Kakadu What a wonderful collection of photos! The Yellow Water cruise is as stunning as you describe and it's great that you are discovering the joys of Kakadu. xxx Mum K
Welcome, come in, take a seat and enjoy the view!
We were lucky enough to be in a position to make one of our dreams come true and it's hard to believe that we can now say we've 'been there and done that! It was the sort of adventure that 'normal people' like us could only dream about, taking a year out of work and travelling around Australia in a caravan towed by a 4WD. Somehow though we managed to turn it into a reality and between April 28th 2009 and April 26th 2010 that's exactly what we did.
Our beautiful home and much loved cat in Moira, Derbyshire, UK were looked after by fami... full info
