The Reeves are all well Hi JJ,
We caught up with the Reeves again last night, might be a little while before we see them again now but hopefully not too long! They are good value aren't they, what a laugh we've been having!
Carty has been doing a remarkable 'one handed' job at fishing - the other hand as you've rightly said usually has a beer in it! They've been living it up staying in an apartment (traitors!) rather than the camp trailer for the last week but even so I reckon they'll miss life on the road, we all will.
Great to hear from you and I'll pass on your best to the rabble.
See you when we get to Mansfield!

Too much party fun Hi Daryl and Sarah, What an amazing blog you have. I am a friend of the Reeves family from mansfield. A close neighbour in fact. I have heard all about you and understand that you will be coming to MANSFIELD. aM LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ALL. You look like you know how to party. Give my love to the Reeves family. See you all real soon. bernie
HI Ben does the button joke in a nearly fab brum accent!!! Ask him when you return take care and continue with the updates there a good read! love em xxxx
Coor(s) ! It's good to see Coors up there but a shame that Wadworths of Devizes haven't made it yet! When we were camping near Freo we cycled in, put us and our bikes on a train and went into the centre of Perth and later on in the day we cycled all the way back, mostly along cycle paths by the river (approx 22klms). Just another brilliant experience to be had in WA. xxx Mum K
Excellent guide It's great to have an excellent guide, isn't it? They make traveling much easier and the trip a lot more fun.

catching up on reeves Simone put me on to your site to catch up on how there going. My first time on travelblog and I've only read days 221 & 222 and it sounds like you all are having a fantastic time but you guys must be good at typing and obviously not travelling with kids to put so much detail in. I didn't know about ross river in WA, I thought it was a FNQ problem something to be aware of as we'll be doing similar trip(on paper) to Reeves in 2011 .Hopefully Kenny will catch the big one soon and as long as carty has a can in his hand catching fish is just a bonus. I look forward to working my way backwards through your trip to catch up on the Reeves but might try to utilise some downtime at work as its crazy at home this time of year. Has Simone thrown her job in yet for life on the road?.
Ross River and Belvedere Hi guys, glad you remembered our experience at Cape Leschenault, great place, but the noise from the local kids at night was diabolical, if we had mobile phone network I would have been inclined to call the police, they were there from 10.00 at night until 7.00 in the morning drinking and generally being a nuisance. We had been warned by fellow travellers not to intervene as it can badly backfire on people, that point being confirmed by a couple we met in Northern Territory when a chap politely asked kids to be a little bit quieter he got punched to the ground, we have also heard of people having tents/trailers pee'd on, stones thrown on roofs etc. I remember hearing on the news the following day that agroup of teenagers were picked up for drink driving around the Australind area early morning, so I hope that itwas them and that there just desserts were served up! We had no problem with Mosquitos there it was the wrong time of year so very few around...... take it easy guys and travel safe.....

Did we have a good time at the panto? Oh no we didn't! Oh YES we definitely did! The Ugly Sisters were just horrible and Buttons looked uncannilly like cousin Phil (but it wasn't him as he was busy in his pub, The Rose and Crown in Brailsford [great homecooked meals there]). We loved Busselton when we visited 6 years ago but will we be disapointed when we return I wonder? xxx Mum K
Sounds like a great trip My parents are David and Pat Waddell (Welly Boot). Thankyou for the kind words. Next time I am over their house I will be sure to show them the blog (not very web savvy!!) My wife makes the Dukka so I will pass it onto her as well. Very jealous, your family seems to be seeing more of this country then we have. Enjoy the rest of your holiday
New Norcia Hi Again, Just to let you know that before David and I moved south and started Welly Boot we lived in the central wheatbelt., about an hour s drive from New Norcia. I was a Tour Guide there for 4 years oyour photo s brought back alot of happy memories. Pat

Indian Myna Wow, thank you so much Val. Great to hear from you and thanks so much for the update on the bird identity. We've not been too good on our bird spotting lately, something we need to get back into!
Thanks so much for reading the blogs, we've loved our travelling in Australia - awesome country and South Western Australia is just blowing us away at the moment.
All the best
Darryl and Sarah
Confession Time Mr Howells In the picture "Waiting for Prayers" Mr Howells looks like a very naughty boy who is waiting for confession !!
It could be a long wait matey
Unfortunately "Shag" you are well past forgiveness but if you do manage to get a "confession" don't forget to mention the pool incident in Ireland !!!
Fishing Shag,
After reading the blog it has come to my attention that when you return i will have to teach you how to fish !
Your exploits are reminding me of Justin's poor attempts to fish way back at Enfield.
Tight lines (as we fisherman say)
who am I? I've found your blog and am enjoying travelling with you. That bird, as you may have found by now, is an Indian Myna, something of a scourge and considered the rats of the bird population here.
Hutt River Provence We've received the postcard already (thank you very much) (received on 28th Nov) and were very impressed with the stamps from the provence!! xxx Mum K
hello we ahve rummikub but have never played it we must be bad parents!!!!! hope you are well really missing youi keep turning skype on but don't catch you:( dinner dance sat won't be the same without you guys hope to catch you soon love em xxxx
Windy and Wet! Hi Guys, cannot believe it is windy and wet over there! Tiny drop of rain over here in Nangus, nothing to make a difference, they are still harvesting, little bit cooler this morning I am wearing .... wait for it..... a long sleeve t-shirt! I see the sun tan is coming along nicely a little bit darker than the last time we saw you! We too did not like Wagoe, we stopped on the way into Kalbarri, it was too exposed.... there was no shade..... it was very hot when we stopped by and just something about it that made us not want to stay there, so we went into Kalbarri, I think we stayed at the Tudor Caravan Park, which you mentioned a few blogs ago. They obviously put their own name into the internet every now and again, because we wrote in our blog how we felt about the place they sent a snotty message to us.
The photos are great and the colours of the wild flowers just beautiful.
Take Care and have fun
KJ xx
How very dare you! Muffin on a Wednesday doesn't even bear thinking about and I will never be able to bring myself to tell Brucie, not at his age!
Pelicans, hhmm reminds me of Florida when Mr Coulsell nearly lost his wig when one flew in rather low one day!
The guy in the 'Stretching for a fish' photo looks like he's from a 40/50's movie!
Great to see you having a great time and chilling out for probably the first time in your lives.
Just doing the 'Children in Need' stuff at work today, wish I had a £1 for everytime someone mentioned your name today - nice to be missed though chick.
Lots of love
Us 4 xxxx
Welcome, come in, take a seat and enjoy the view!
We were lucky enough to be in a position to make one of our dreams come true and it's hard to believe that we can now say we've 'been there and done that! It was the sort of adventure that 'normal people' like us could only dream about, taking a year out of work and travelling around Australia in a caravan towed by a 4WD. Somehow though we managed to turn it into a reality and between April 28th 2009 and April 26th 2010 that's exactly what we did.
