Ostrich? I can't believe that Elaine and suggestion you "borrow" oranges! I hope she hasn't had that much influence on you two... ;) But I was going to ask, did Dean or Elaine ever tell you of our ostrich friend from Mexico? You Kri Kri stories made me laugh and wonder... ask her sometime. :) Pictures are amazing guys!! Definitely encouraging me to go there myself! :)
All things must end! Can't believe you could remember how to spell all the places or did you have cheat sheets? Dad says "time to come home." We miss you and can't wait to see you. Clean room and clean sheets waiting for you.
Every time i've seen the Vatican, i've been lucky enough to have seen it more than once, it always takes my breath away, so Kim, even for people who have experienced it before, it never ceaces to amaze them.
A long time ago Hi Kim and Dennis, I enjoyed reading your entry from Rome so much that I dug out my journal from my trip to Italy in 1973. I too was blown away by the size of St. Peter's and I was so amazed by the Pieta that I bought mom a gold charm depicting it. I recall climbing the steps to the top of the dome. The Trevi fountain was a highlight for me as was the statue of David in Florence. Thanks for rekindling my memories. Oh, by the way, Calgary got the snow (ha,ha). Love, Terri
Very Proud of You both! Glad to hear you are both doing well and worked out the flight changes. Sometimes doing things or changing your plans on the spur of the moment reap the most rewards. I love the beaches and countryside of Crete and Hania. Rome looks absolutely fantastic!! I'm jealous and wish was there. Guess I'd better make it a goal! God bless you both. You look fantastic!!!
Holy Amazing... Wow, sounds like you guys have had quite the trip so far, nothing adds more excitement then cancelled planes, and crazy trains, and cars just about ready to run you over!
Rome sounds Amazing, and yes Dennis we all knew you wanted to wait until then...but really you couldn't because you were so in LOVE with kim, which is Awesome, Im glad you guys got to spend some time at the Trevi anyways. did you get down on one knee and pretend?
Wow you guys will be home soon, can't wait to see you guys! Miss you lots!
Laura
Your adventure It is great to hear from you. Thought about you all day today knowing you were seeing the Pope. What an adventure for you two.
Lots of questions but we will wait for you to come home. We didn't get snow but I think Calgary did.
Hurry home Kim, no one has taken out the garbage for three weeks!
Anaheim and Ottawa in the Cup Final starting Monday. Less than two weeks to Training Camp! June is just around the corner.
Love Dad and Mom
Flights All I can say is that I'm glad that Alitalia cancel the flight on Friday and not on the weekend, when we were closed, and that you got my many messages. I doublechecked the Lufthansa flights and no changes so far...but they still have time to do something. Can't wait to hear/see the travellog when you get back.
One word gelato or the plural gelati. Have one for me.
Living Vicariously Wowzers guys! It sure sounds like this has been quite the adventure. Sorry about the pink sand though buddy :( And I do agree. The tree looks similar to a Joshua tree in a greener space. Glad to hear that you've been able to re-live some of your younger years with the Fiesta there Dennis! Elaine and I eagerly await your return and have been loving the blogs. We are both happy for, and jealous of, you guys (though more happy than jealous :) Enjoy your next 9 days and keep up the fine smiling!
whoops I accidently clicked on someone elses blog of Crete, and saw a picture of their mom! I was very confused, "Whose mom is that, and when did she join them in Greece?"
Important Message Re: Your flight to Rome Talked to your travel agent and your Dad, Dennis, your 3:00 pm flight has been cancelled and rebooked to 6:55 am on May 22. Call one of us this weekend or e-mail Brenda your booking agent or you can call the airline I suppose. That's the info we got today for you. I have also e-mailed "Lena" to pass to you so hopefully you get one of the numerous messages.
Import/Export Talked to Canada Customs: No problem with spices they should be sealed same with the Olive Oil. Wine 1.5L each allowed so that's two 750 ml bottles each, I think thats the usual size.
P.S It was so wonderful to hear from you, glad I could help. Love Mom
Fabulous church Hi Kim and Dennis, I'm glad to hear that you are still loving every minute of your vacation, even the not so pleasant ones. They will probably be the ones you remember most fondly 30 years from now.
I loved th picture of the church at Heraklion - it reminds me of St. Josaphat's here in Edmonton, except that the icon of Jesus on the dome is much scarier at St. Josaphat. I'm on brain overload from the Sephora training. We go from 9:00 - 6:00 daily. We are already on our second binder of info. I saw one of the Eskimos this evening as I went to a meeting at Commonwealth stadium. I don't know who he was but his size was a definite clue as was the fact that I was near the Eskimo dressing room. Ottawa Sens lost tonite - bring on the Esks! Love you both. Keep having fun!
Absolutely Fantastic!! Congratulations to the mighty warrior! You both look great and look like you are having an adventure of a lifetime. I love you both and miss you both. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about the next adventure. Love Mom
100% Agreed I agree wholeheartedly. We did not want to leave Santorini either. It was so beautiful! And the food!...I could keep eating forever overlooking the caldera, but then I'd run out of money. lol. I hope you guys had a chance to pop into Murphy's while you were in Fira. We loved that place.
Have fun in the rest of your trip!
Sigh... This comment took a day to arrive due to the intense amount of jelousy and Dean having to talk me out of hijacking a plane and flying to join you guys.... Santorini sounds positively perfect... not to mention the pictures... The sunsets... the architecture... God's creation.. and seirously, you guys went sailing on the Mediterranean... I am jelous. SOOOOO happy for you guys... but just incredibly wistful.
Bad Minotaur Glad Dennis came out unscathed from the mighty minotaur. Glad to hear you guys are still having a great time. Things are good here. Great to hear from the two of you on Mother's Day that was very special, made me miss you all the more. The boy remembered too!

The Great Warrior... We are all in awe of the Great Warrior Dennis!!!! Can you hear the crowd roar? Chanting... Dennis Dennis Dennis... I am mucho impressed... Had we been there I'm sure Dean would have joined you in this battle of epic proportions. :)

Another Wow! Nice to hear from you and especially nice on Mothers Day. Dennis hope you got hold of your mom! Still having a wonderful time we see. Glad you are taking the small things like missing the bus in stride. Hope you enjoy Crete as much as Santorini. Looking forward to seeing all of your pictures because it is wonderful to see the sampling of what you send us. This are great here the grass is green, already mowed twice, the leaves are popping and the tulips are blooming a sure sign of spring and summer coming here in the great white north.
