Helsinki Hi Lyn and Col
We have just been to Helsinki via Amsterdam and St Petersburg. Also visited Stockholm and Copengaen. Loved Helsinki. We bought the Helsinki Pass for Two days. It gets you the hop on hop off green bus, the ferry to the islands and entry to museums. Well worth it. Do the Vasa museum, nice cafe for lunch too, and the contemporary museum. Both are accessible via the hop on hop off or the ferry. Do NOT do the roof top walk. Somewhat risky!! We ate in the old town but there are plenty of good eating places but not cheap. We had a lovely note from your grandson Nathan in regard to his time in Perth, very nice. We have sold the apartment on the ship and finish up in December when it comes to Perth. We are now headed for London and we will be on for another month when it makes it's way to Barcelona. Love to you both. Enjoy your travels. Lorraine xxx
Shivers up my spine You've certainly stirred up the memories. It's just as I remember our Autumn visit 10? years ago. We'll continue to watch with pleasure. Enjoy and stay well.

Hi from BP Hi Everyone - Thanks for the update and the photos - it looks beautiful and the Autumn leaves exquisite. Tonight I feel both happy and sad. Sad that we missed out, but very happy that Barry is home tonight after a week at Metro Rehab. He is still very positive and determined to make a full recovery. He isn't allowed to go walking without me or someone with him - so guess I am going to get fitter because you know what he's like. We are very blessed we have had such wonderful support from so many people at BP. We missed out on a fabulous Japan holiday but as Barry was released today it enables us to attend our nephew's wedding in Armidale this Sat. All our children and partners are having 2 nights in Pt Macquarie before the wedding and Barry and I are going to gatecrash their penthouse in Pt Macq.. Barry has been given the ok to travel to Pt Macq and then to Armidale - this will be a very special time after these last 2 weeks. Tell Jan she will be able to look me in the face when I next see here in IGA. Continue to enjoy - we are following the itinerary and travelling with you in spirit. Lots of Love to you all. Lorraine
