Looks Great
Glade everything look like it is going great. I have had a few ask if I have heard from the travellers. I assume this has gone to all Probus members and they will be all excited to read your story. Love the format and style you have used. Kevin

Train travel
Hi Lyn and Col Thanks for yet another interesting blog. We are interested in your latest trip so look forward to details when we get together. All goes well with us, although we had a few damp and cool days initially - aren't we lucky we don't have to put up with the bad weather at home. We are just on half way through our trip with six weeks to go. Plenty still to look forward to. Cheers

Great jurney
I enjoyed your blog very much. I am glad you experienced our cultures and sceneries a lot. Come Japan again, and taste our country more deeply. For peoples who will come Japan, it will be best way for you to buy JR Pass, if you will get around in Japan..

Hello, enjoyed your blog. We are off to Tohoku with our 2 kids (7 and 5 years) next week. could you reccommend a hotel / ryokan in Naruko Onsen? Prefer reasonably priced but comfortable for the family. We'll also stay in Hiraizumi, Dewa Sansen and Nyuto Onsen. Any tips for travelling Tohoku? best regards Cath (Sydney)

Hi Rick and Pam
Great to hear from you.We are enjoying Washington DC - BUT not the heat and humidity. Hopefully it will cool down tomorrow and stay a bit cooler until we leave next Monday - otherwise it will be more air conditioned museums each day. We arrive Chicago on Tuesday next (the 18th) and could do lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as we don't leave until 2pm on Thursday to go onto Denver. We are staying at the Best Western, Grant Park, 1100 S Michigan.

Thanks for the blog - my first experience! Interesting to read about your travels in Japan and note food was prominent! Did you try sake? Perhaps I should do one of these on our trip to Russia...
